I disagree that they are unique…and this isnt about the kicker at all.

How do you disagree with fact? They are unique as in different. Ppr and .5 por are clearly different . You can’t disagree with fact lol

I disagree with YOU. You CAN disagree with facts. Sure, there’s the whole part about being wrong, but you don’t have to acknowledge that part. You can just leave the conversation at that point or change the subject to an arbitrary part of the topic that you still think you’re right about, and act is if you won that secondary argument even if the other person never said anything about it in the first place.

    Example-
Me: See, I told you Ralph Webb would be a bust yesterday.
Person: What? He put up over 20DK points and helped win the slate!
Me: But he didn’t get as much playing time as you thought he would.
    Person: What?

The key is a mixture of confidence and confusion.

(By the way, I’m totally just trolling because I’m bored right now)

LMAO. This by far is the post of the day. Thanks for the laugh. BTW, there is some truth to this, I believe it elected a POTUS.

Big mistake. Kicker should absolutely stay. Flex in my opinion should be limited to either Wr/TE. A 3rd rb has no place whatsoever in fantasy. I will never understand why this move was made.

There is obviously always going to be people that do not like a change that a site makes no matter what it is. They will be the vocal ones in a thread like this. Personally I stopped playing on Fanduel when College Basketball ended. But I think this is one change were I think a very strong majority of people would prefer a Flex player over a Kicker. Will it get me to play FanDuel again over DraftKings? No. But for those that play on FanDuel, I would venture to guess this is a welcome change for many, or they will at least grow to like it.

    Not a welcome change #1
Will not grow to like it #2
#3 — People said the same thing when an OUT on MLB FANDUEL was worth -0.25 pts…the way it should be….and FD had to kill that off.

P.S. — As previously mentioned with the continued horrid payout structure on FD — I’ll just play YAHOO and maybe some DK and see what happens.

Just felt i needed to put another vote for sad to see the kicker go.

I never understood the anger behind it.

What i will miss most is playing the Prime Time slates, either sun night/mon, or monday/thursday. Picking a Kicker, Def and QB, if you could hit on all 3 of those, you were in for a good slate. Figuring out how the game would flow was a big thing, and if you were right on both games, chances are you were going to cash.

So how soon til Defense goes away too?

Cant wait for a 8 FLEX roster so i can start 8 QBs

This doesn’t bother me since I didn’t play on FD anyways.

But is FD EVER going to add the ability to download contest entries CSVs?

I am bumping this thread because I am sick of picking a DST this season. Each week, I have failed in picking a DST because it seems to be such a dart throw position more than anything. I can’t believe I am saying this but I actually miss the Kicker spot now. I knew I was going to be one of the few DFS players to miss this position whe I found out about this decision. Back then, I was able to identify which Kickers were in play. Yes, there will be weeks where Crosby will go 5-5 for XPs with no FGs. But more times than not, I made the right decision in picking the Justin Tucker, the Graham Gano, the Phil Dawson, the Robbie Gould and it made the difference in making sure I cash in cash games or GPPs.

This year, I have constantly fallen just a few points short of cashing and it’s either because I had a few busts and my DST pick comes back and haunt me. I picked the Browns’ -1 fdp game against the Chargers last month. I also had the Bills -2 fdp game against the Colts. This week, I just received a bagel from the Redskins DST. Is this a case of bad luck? Or is this a case of “making better lineups” or “make better decisions”? That’s true. I do need to make better lineups/decisions. However, there is no edge anymore and I’m sick and tired of seeing cash game lineups filled with chalk and chalk and chalk. Why not combine the DST and Kicker spots into one position? Give us, the players, to decide if we want to play a DST or Kicker for that week. For example, the Bears DST against the Bills was priced up at 5.2k which was a smart move on FD’s part. It made us all afraid of paying up for them so we all paid down at the position. But if there were Kicker choices to pick from as well, some of us (me) will most likely pick a Kicker. At least I know I will get points from a Kicker. Not the -1 fdp, -2 fdp and 0 that I got for three weeks this season. And those three decisions came back to prevent me from winning my games as well. Again, this is just a suggestion. I think this method will definitely add a wrinkle to lineup making. And perhaps, end chalky ass lineups….

Just a few tips about picking a good defense.

    1. Eliminate every team that’s not favored. Yes, underdogs win, and yes they can have great defensive games. It’s just so rare, that unless you are MME’ing, it’s not worth the risk.

    2. Dig a little deeper into the MU. I think the opposing offense is a much more important factor than the defense you are considering. I also liked the Redskins yesterday, but I wound up pivoting to Miami and KC (wish I had more Miami). Why Miami? Yeah, they’ve been really bad on D lately, but the Jets offense is even worse. So while the Redskins have been playing great, there is just too much potential for points on the Falcons offense.
