Was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts or feelings on this?

I don’t see it as being something that much interests me a lot.

Maybe we’ll do a league at work or something for some coin?

Perhaps there are tons of people pumped about this. Any for or against this?

Sounds like they are trying different things to bring in more of the season long crowd.

I am running one of these through DraftKings if you are interested.

FanDuel did a really good job with this product. Much better than the Friends mode last year. Is it a game changer? Probably not, but zero downside to offering it.

I like the idea of this, and may float it to some of my friends who I do season long with.

I really wish Yahoo would launch paid entries for their yahoo cup competitions – I really enjoy the mode, but it’s pretty difficult to win much, which is fine because it’s a freeroll. If they offered a 500-1000 entry $10-20 buy in for the yahoo cup I would be very in.

I’ve been told that we will be able to create our own leagues this year. :)

What is the structure of these leagues? How is the champion determined at the end of the season? Is it just overall points?

  • joerapjr

I think it’s a really cool idea and I think it’ll be excellent for those who are still looking to transition from season long to DFS, or who want to play both.

Love the idea, roto grinders should have one

    Hot off the press: https://sports.yahoo.com/dailyfantasy/contest/create?type=tournament.

NFL will be out shortly, but available for MLB (and EPL) now…

Yep, we have a ‘tournament’ lobby of sorts for all the public multi-round contests: https://sports.yahoo.com/dailyfantasy/tournaments.

  • Michigan85

    Nice….

Public lobby will be awesome for season long or short season….(avail for hockey and bask as well?)

What about Nascar? I would like to see a three race, short season or season long daily fantasy leagues

  • Michigan85

So does this mean season long college sports is coming back? That would be sweet…It wouldn’t be daily anymore and would involve MUCH more strategy to win a season long Salary cap college football league…
