Putting more emphasis on Single Entry tournaments has been a hot topic on this message board for many years. I think most agree that multi entry tournaments are great – they produce big prize pools and help attract new players. Big multi entry tournaments should always be featured at the top of the lobby, but players should also have exciting single entry or low entry cap alternatives.

We reached out to FanDuel brass to discuss a promotion focused on Single Entry and they already had something in the works. They welcomed us into the discussion and after much back and forth we landed on a promo that I think all players will love – The Single Entry Series presented by RotoGrinders.

There will be four weeks of contests. Each week will feature a different Single Entry tournament buyin level:

    Featured Contest Schedule:

    Week 1 – 6/27 to 7/3 – MLB Bunt – $1 Entry
    Week 2 – 7/4 to 7/10 – MLB Pickoff – $25 Entry
    Week 3 – 7/18 to 7/24 – MLB Single – $5 Entry
    Week 4 – 7/25 to 7/31 – MLB Blast – $50 Entry

RotoGrinders will keep a leaderboard of results for each week. There will be 9 to 11 tournaments at the featured buyin level per week but only a user’s best 4 scores will be added together for the leaderboard. You will still be able to compete even if you miss a few slates. We will award $30,000 in Leaderboard prizes over the course of the four weeks.

Each of the four weeks will produce a leaderboard winner that will win a trip to Nashville at the WFBC to compete in the Single Entry Series Championship! This four man live final features a $25,000 prize pool with $10,000 going to first.

For full details read FanDuel’s promo page here.

And here is the Single Entry Series Leaderboard on RotoGrinders. All FanDuel players will be tracked here, not just RotoGrinders members.

We’re stoked to help get a promo this big centered on Single Entry and looking forward to meeting the finalists here in Nashville!

I appreciate the tourney guys. It was fun! I think it was done near perfect to keep everyone interested in playing. I wouldn’t mind seeing an overall champ crowned and rewarded with the trip as a 5th competitor in the future.

Coming in 2nd place for this last week really hurts. The $1,200 compensation is nice and grateful but this is going to sting for a while. Was really looking forward to a great experience in Nashville.

Great run RaiseFool. So close. Tough break, but great showing.

Well done Series on all parties. A great month of play. Could it use some tweaks, maybe? Last slate last night for instance just not a high scoring slate. Could cash but not move the needle on the overall standings. Buy in levels. Don’t usually play 25 and 50 but the game was much cleaner at that level. Look at the cartoonish scores at the dollar buy in level contests. But everyone can play at that level.

Posted on nvalencia30 excellent recap two weeks ago about a cumulative prize. Best total score? Best combined finish for the series. Winner gets 5th seat. A trip only package to a live final, something.

Would be curious who had the most cumulative points or maybe who had the best finishes in total series. I had a cash in 25 and 50 dollar placing 14th and 16th in those (slipped from inside the top five at one point in both). Finished 130 something in the 5. How’d you do share your story.

    Thanks again for the contest.

I loved this format so much that I played every slate. Was very impressed to see how consistently great the winners were. Thanks to FD and RG for organizing this. I had a blast!

The fifth spot for overall score throughout the entire tournament is a pretty cool wrinkle. Certainly will pass along the feedback.
