    Seems weird…

but I’m trying it. Do games take the normal amount of time?

No. Game “totals” for fantasy points drop every ten minutes. Tonight will take a little longer than last night because there’s more games, but you’ll be rolling in money within a 90-minute time period.

Wish we could put money in this

Yesterday I tried to find guys who were cheap who had stretches of games with inflated points due to injuries, surrounded by high floor studs and it bombed. Still think that’s the right strategy long term. Not sure though. Maybe if just looking to cash the move is to go balanced? Anyone have any takes on strategy?

Superjon, do you want to play H2H for some paypal bucks? Yessh that is an ugly start ha I mean its all luck to some extent but those are guys i wouldnt even look at.

I actually wrote a strategy piece, but its for another site so I wont post it here. Something i noted. Kawhi went over 5x his price in 47% of games this year and has a low game of 31.4 while going under 4x in only 12% of games. meanwhile someone like Jokic went over 5x on 40% of his games, but went under 4× 34% of games. Cheap options OG Anunoby stands out to me. went over 5x his salary in 52% of games and had seven games over 9x his price. For the min i like Poole for “cash” and Frankie Smokes for “GPP’s” as frankie went 10x his salary 5 times this year, of course he has 22 games under 10 points so

Awesemo has been doing this since Monday. Historic NBA teams from different eras playing each other.

I think that’s right and I tried and failed doing the same yesterday when Harden bombed and I didn’t hit with Wood or McRae. Tonight I’m going with Trae, Beal, KAT, and Ingram along with some cheaper guys who have some nice ceiling games.

    I don’t think there is a strategy.

  • codygracyalny

Hayward and Tobias at SF? Harrell at C? Pay up for Trae at PG?

These are my first thoughts just taking a quick look at it.

I think you’re right. Tonight you can try a few different ways. I’m hoping for a couple 10x hits with guys like Grant or Clarkson.

  • leib0039

I disagree about no strategy, I equate it to playing blackjack, if you have 0 idea how to play and make dumb plays (IE hitting on a 12 with a 6 showing) you can still win sure, but over the long haul you will 100% lose and the smarter player is far more likely to succeed. Really no different than DFS on a daily basis. For example, Lebron is obviously great but he has 1 game over 69 fantasy points or 6x his price. Kawhi meanwhile has 11 games over 6x his price. Could you hit lebrons 1 88 point outing, sure, but if you pick him 10 times and i pick kawhi 10 games im going to be better off more times than you are.

    theres strategy.

    this is fun

  • yisman

The strategy in this is to pick guys with more outlier games. Higher ceiling, lower floor.

Everyone is priced based on average points, but to cash well in the freeroll you want guys with outlier scores, not with a bunch of scores clustered around their average.

X standard deviations from the mean.

I screwed up Day 1 because I didn’t read the part about opponent not mattering. I based picks on opponents.

I’m going with players who have been consistent for most of the season (someone like Brogdon, SGA). I have a better chance of landing on their floor games and 50 point games if I’m lucky.

Feels like you’ll need a Washington big tonight. Just wish I knew which one.
