I created a custom report for Hitters vs L 2014-2016 but there are players missing from the report. For example no Betts, Pederson,Lamb,Encarnacion, Bautista….etc

    What am I doing wrong?

  • KindGuy

    Link us the report.

When I search for Betts in custom players he shows up vs L with a .355 wOBA but he is no where in the above custom report.

Its your Min PA: Qualified setting If you drop that down to say 100 (just throwing out a number) he shows up

    Got it. Thanks ohhale.

Thing that irks me the most about FanGraphs is in a pitcher game log they show xFIP, pFIP, bQUICK, NERD, QUAKENBUSH, GAME SCORE, SIERRA, GSv2, CARMELO, e=mc^2 adj park rating, pZiPS, N.E.R.D.^2, sqrt(SOSA)…..but they can’t just simply show pitches thrown? really?

    Or outs recorded. Lol.

yea seriously. look, I’m as big of a sabermetrics guy there is but it’s gone overboard in which we can’t get simple counting stats as easily anymore.I get that batting average, ERA, WHIP may be “mis-leading” but let’s make sure we have the basics covered and then tack on the 487 different new metrics that exist these days.

If you can’t figure out how many outs were recorded by looking at innings pitched then you have bigger issues.

    7.1 IP: 7 * 3 + 1 = 22 outs recorded.

    WHEW. TOUGH STUFF!

are you talking about their box scores or something? because:

    http://www.fangraphs.com/statsd.aspx?playerid=10131&position=P&type=4&gds=&gde=&season=2016

pitches thrown, strikes thrown, balls, LD, GB, FB, IFFB — everything’s in there.

Kinda hard to manually do that in sheets.

Also, are you seriously saying it’s not ridiculous that they have all these advanced stats yet can’t seem to find a way to provide us with simple counting stats?
