Well another week is upon us. Let’s get the chatter going. Seems like four good slates on fanpicks. Hopefully another good week for all of us

  • BabyBuster

    5 slates no? Early / Afternoon / Primetime / Evening / Late?

Love how they have so many

  • Stangs13

You are correct 5 slates I didn’t see the afternoon. I’m trying to figure out the Minnesota running back situation looks like brooks is back but but listed third on the depth chart. I think they will run all over Colorado state but can’t seem to decide who i think it will be.

Also the thur-fri slate looks to be really chalky does anyone have anyone of the radar a little that can set us apart?

  • gopherchick

Is this site ever going to let people post games to the lobby without having people select “SHOW USER CREATED GAMES”?

  • nickrock23

Gopher I told them they need to make those games more visible. It took me a few days to even realize that option existed after I first signed up. I haven’t even looked at any this week. I am focusing on the guaranteed games. But as game time approaches i’ll prob jump in the UCG’s that look like they will fill. I don’t like entering early and freezing up money for no reason if they won’t fill.

Stangs I am staying away from the Minn RB situation. Brooks will play but I’m sure it’ll be a split. I like Wolitarsky, and think he will be low owned regardless of any arguments I make for him. I think there are a bunch of low profile guys for the Thurs-Fri slate that are worth playing. Those games are horrible.

  • BabyBuster

I am going to have some Minn backs.

Really really wish FP would have something like the $3 GPP that DK used to roll out. Would load up on ~50 LU every weekend. If we had something like that I would have Brooks in half.

Also – how loose is this pricing? I shouldn’t be able to play everyone I want. There are slates where I am leaving $$$ on the table and I hate that.

  • nickrock23

The late slate with Webb, Hansen, McCaff is tighter and rightly so, you can’t fit all the guys who will probably go off. Nice change of pace.
Just because you can play all the guys you want doesn’t mean it’s the right move though. Like in one of the early slates, it’s pretty easy to fit LF, Conner, and McNichols, but there is a huge possibility one if not two dud. I do like some lower priced options at RB, but I can’t figure out which of the expensive guys to fade. LF is so cheap you will feel like an idiot if you don’t have him 100% and he goes off, like last week. Oregon State is improving finally and they have the crowd with them. Conner seems too obvious. I think the key to winning will be fading one of them since they will be heavily owned, and if you fade the right guy, there’s no way they’re catching up to you.

Anyone know what their cfb millionaire maker is about?

  • BabyBuster

Agree, late slate is nice – the only one that is really a challenge.

Primetime slate is the one that I believe you are referring to. Don’t disagree on the RB situation. But the real issue is that it is too easy to play all 3. I’m happy to take 3 top tier RBs and still be able to make an easy roster. QBs are underpriced and there are some can’t miss receivers at really low prices… Why mess with the RB spot with three guys that are near locks when the rest of the LU comes together so easily?

  • Stangs13

Anyone have any injury news on Xavier Jones? All I see is questionable for tonight.

  • BabyBuster

Have a ton of H2Hs out there… if anyone wants to win some money vs. an amateur.

  • BabyBuster

Man Chubb killed me. Terrible pivot from Dalvin at same price

  • nickrock23

I did well on the 12 and 1, but at 330 Mike White and company killed me. That whole game was a disaster. I had McNichols and Sperbeck in 100% and even a LU with Lock/Moore/McNichols who all had ~50 I still didn’t cash. Had a ton of Trubisky, but mostly with White/Taywan/Norris. TE Orndoff was so involved in the offense, nowhere to be found. Chesson was a complete waste again. I also hated the Bama game, but when they said Ardarius was out, I threw Ridley and Dieter into some LU. Everyone caught TD’s except them. I came in 2nd in a big contest with Ridley in there, so that cost me $ and I was 6th in a big top 5 with Dieter – that prevented me from winning big early.

The last 2 slates I thought I did ok for the most part, but my opponents did better. I had Lamar and Ward (who was way too cheap), even had a lot of Ferguson. But McCaffrey at his price only getting 20 hurt. Also had more Patrick Taylor than I realized and with Sam Craft back, any Memphis RB was a bad play. In every LU i had at least one dud, N’Keal, Demario, Ballage, Taylor, Westerkamp, even Terence Williams getting 14 hurt.

H2H w Ajwilliams we both had 4 duds, but he had Seth Russel to my Ward, that 10 pts was the difference. Just couldn’t catch a break. So on the day I lost 100, which I guess isn’t that bad considering I had 450-500 in entries.

Hope you guys did better, I’m sure you did cause some of you I saw in the winners circle. I’ll be back next week!

  • Stangs13

Wow the scores were high this week. I’m with you nick I had a lot of good picks and 50s all over the place but it seemed like on all slated my core hit and the guys I spread around them were duds. Lost about $50 in $150 of entries. Back at it next week

  • nickrock23

Not bad. The good thing is you can’t really lose everything over the course of 4 or 5 slates, so just get it back next week. I just put too much into Mike White and WKU, If Norris didn’t fumble going into the end zone, it probably would have been a nice hit for me cause White got hurt on the fumble return and sat for a few series. Sometimes you’re the pigeon, sometimes you’re the statue!
