I played the FF match play 100 hundred man tournament this week. Ended up finishing 4 but I was sitting in joint second as I went to bed last night, open it up today to see if the money is in my account and realise I’m down to fourth.

They told me on twitter they score the match play after the completion of the days matches and they usually have live scoring but the tournament finished about 6pm yesterday and I checked the standing around 11pm last night, it’s ridiculous to still be making adjustments that late on a day of golf that comprised of 4 matches (if they even included the 3rd/4th place playoff, which I’m not sure)

I only play on DK, is this normal for one of the smaller sites? I know DK gets a lot of crap and deservedly so in lots of respects (the constant location checking is getting pretty annoying) but their live scoring and time of payouts are really excellent, certainly in comparison to FF.

I mean if they scored it correctly I don’t see the problem. There was no live feed or live scoring for the match play and I’m pretty sure they handled all scoring manually.

If you would have wound up in first would you still be complaining?

The live scoring at FF can leave something to be desired at times, but overall FF has much faster payouts than DK.

You’re really seeing the exception here and not the rule. In order to offer matchplay (which I don’t think any other site does) they have to score it by hand. That leads to delays for this particular format. It’s really the tradeoff you make if you want to sweat the matchplay. There were lots of other options if you wanted to play the Puerto Rico Open.

I salute them for coming up with a custom way to play the real tourney this week in the match play as opposed to the joke of a tourney in Puerto Rico

The only thing that should matter is them getting the scoring CORRECT.

First time playing on FF but I don’t know how they can be better than DK. That’s one of the things I’ve always thought DK did very well actually. I know all the other options, I played the Puerto Rico open, just match play is great to watch so I wanted to give it a go. I was just surprised it took so long and not even that, your place would change from hour to hour after the days match ups, but whatever, I’m not here to convince other people, just don’t think it compares to DK’s product.

Hey OP, I understand it’s frustrating. I’d suggest reading this piece for a fresh perspective.

You’re comparing apples to oranges. Match Play vs a 4 round tournament.

Automated scoring vs Manual Input scoring.

FF’s normal golf product compares very well against DK’s normal golf product.

Ha, good one. People just assuming I’m moaning about not winning, I’m not

No, you’re moaning about lack of live scoring that isn’t possible. You’re the only one who doesn’t seem to understand that even though it’s already been explained to you multiple times.
