Is anyone else having trouble getting paid out by Fantasy Up? I submitted a withdrawal request for some of my funds over a month ago but I still haven’t been paid, despite the fact that I have exchanged many emails with them They keep promising that funds will be paid out shortly but then they go radio silent until I email them again.

Does anyone have any recommendations about what I should do if they continue to fail to pay? I would prefer not to take legal action because of the cost and inconvenience (and because up until now they’ve provided a good service) but at this stage I don’t know what other options I have.

Admin Note: This situation was eventually resolved when FantasyUp player accounts were purchased by the iTeam Network. Gabe Hunterton’s post is copied below. You can also read it on page 30 of this thread:

    iTeamGabe’s (Gabe Hunterton, CEO) post:

I’m happy to be the bearer of good news. As Dustin from LSR reported yesterday, iTEAM Network has executed an agreement with FantasyUp. When we heard about the situation a couple weeks ago, we decided to do something about it.
We announced today an agreement with the former owners of FantasyUp to acquire the www.fantasyup.com domain and customer data. Paying back FantasyUp players was the key component in this deal. No one affiliated with the original FantasyUp has any involvement whatsoever moving forward.
After you activate your account, your funds will be immediately available for withdrawal, although we do hope you give us a chance to earn your trust and loyalty by playing in our contests. We think you will appreciate our first class customer support and our unwavering commitment to game integrity. To welcome you to the new FantasyUp.com, we’re putting on a series of overlay contests exclusively for FantasyUp players, beginning with the “FantasyUp – Fresh Start” contest; that features a $1,000 Guaranteed Prize Pool, with a Maximum of 1,100 entries and a buy in of just ONE CENT!
While you’re playing, take a look at our unique software features like our patented “Sweat List” which shows you not only who you are rooting for, but just as importantly, who you are rooting against. Since launching five months ago, we’ve made significant investments and built our software development team to over 40 full time employees. You can expect major product development and innovation from us throughout 2016.
Getting the site up-and-running and paying back players is a complex challenge involving technical, practical and regulatory hurdles affecting thousands of player accounts. We ask for your continued patience as we work together through this process, particularly if you reside in one of the banned jurisdictions.
We have just begun the process of sending an email to all users who have an existing account balance.
For further information about our agreement with FantasyUp and how it affects you, we are regularly updating the FAQ page at www.fantasyup.info. In addition, you can email us anytime at support@fantasyup.com.

Best of luck to everyone who is owned money! I lost all the funds I had thanks to @Jason10’s recommendation to play their pick 5 games (https://rotogrinders.com/threads/draftday-rapid-fire-756548)

Maybe a mod should edit that post so others don’t make the same mistake?

My bad, I had no idea they would do this. How much did you have on there?

While support can’t address Mountain_Cobra specifically, we can share the same info we have shared to customers/vendors:

FantasyUp is in process of finalizing a deal with a national-wide brand and raising significant funding to dramatically increase its exposure, marketing, and product offerings. At the current moment, our accounts are being held in escrow. While this is an exciting time for FantasyUp and it’s players, it is frustrating as well. We pride ourselves on exceptional and speedy customer service. That being said, we must continue to wait for this deal to finalize (or our period of exclusivity to expire) before we proceed. Closing has taken longer than anticipated.

We appreciate your patience and as always, please contact support if you have questions.

    Kind Regards,
    FantasyUp Support

This is 100% unprofessional and shady. Before you put the funds in escrow you should have informed every member of your site and given them an opportunity to withdraw their funds. Sorry, but this is not professional

Time to truly worry will be this coming tuesday as that will mark the completion of the 5th business day since their claim they transferred funds into their paypal in order to pay those who have requested withdrawals as paypal quotes 3-5 business days for a transfer such as this.

Think we all have to give these sites the “sniff test” moving forward. Honestly 300% bonuses with no rake? How much venture capital did you think these guys have? Do you think they had reserves if 100 of the biggest DFS players joined for the $1,000 bonus? Did they have $100,000 in venture capital just sitting around waiting to pay them, let along if there were more players than that. Then they “put your money in escrow” without telling you???

Even if we are seeing some payouts mentioned on here, how do we know that they aren’t paying a select few and telling them to post they were paid in exchange for them getting their payouts, but not paying others?

Too much is up in the air guys, the fact that they were still taking deposits and not paying out alone screams that it’s a scam.

They arent handing out bonuses with no rollover. Everyone who clears a bonus has to play through a large amount of money and they are raking off that. Your characterization is just not factual. All dfs sites who offer bonuses are basically just giving you a rake reduction for the length of the bonus. For every customer who clears a large bonus the site is making good money off that player, provided there is not huge overlay at the site.

I would only play at sites that are members of the FSTA. While that’s not a fool-proof means of determining the trustworthiness of a DFS operator, it’s better than nothing.

Does your legal site have a list of these?

That doesn’t really mean anything….aren’t Drafster, Ballr, FUP all members?

  • LSRDustin

No, but that’s not a bad thing for us to look at. You can look up sites here to see if they are a member: http://www.fsta.org/search/

Draftster is listed at the FSTA site as a member (not sure if they are a current dues-paying member). Ballr and FUP are not. That’s why it’s not foolproof :)

This is my understanding as well after another email with FantasyUp. The Paypal transfer (which I assume is the escrowed player balances) was originated Tuesday and wasn’t completed by Friday. We should see all of these withdrawals processed over the next few days. There’s still the issue of continuing to accept deposits throughout this ordeal, but definitely don’t write off the money yet.

Some of us signed up when it was 1000% bonus. As far as your sniff test, I was very cautious as they didn’t seem to have much if any relationship with RG. I made an initial deposit of $100 to try it out. Made withdrawls along the way so if something like this ever happened, I’d be upset, but not crushed.

  • AntFer

I have never played on this site but after reading this thread i feel horrible for you guys who are owed money. its shit like this that can give DFS such a bad name.. I wouldnt put it past them to allow deposits for the pure reason so they can use that money to pay some of the smaller amts owed.. I hope u all get your money…

I don’t recall a 1000% bonus and I’m usually up to speed with things. They did, however, offer 300%, up to $1k, for awhile. They were a low budget site that had no rake for almost a year. They tried to make it w/o affiliate fees(who take 35-40% of the rake), but it seems as though they simply weren’t able to raise enough funds to compete. Even though I haven’t played there in awhile, it’s very disappointing to see this situation. Hopefully, things will get rectified soon.

  • Myprimetime

I think that was a mistype, should have said 100% bonus right?

  • mberkowi

    • 2018 DraftKings FHWC Finalist

Nope, I signed up in November. Deposited $100 and got $1000 bonus. I think this was the introductory offer that has since dropped to 300%. Then got another $100 bonus for a Twitter follow and $100 for a referal. Needless to say, I still have a lot of bonus to clear and hope what the site is saying is accurate and there is some sort of deal in the works. I can’t complain. I played the entire NHL season rake free + whatever rate the bonus cleared and I was able to get my money out.

  • GoBlue04

That’s what got me to sign up too was the $1000 bonus on $100.

  • jer4940

I got paid this morning, 1st one had been pending since 6/8/15, and second one since last week, but both were paid today!!!!!
