Back to charging rake? This is very disappointing.

  • noddy

Well they gave it a shot.

  • Russ99

None of my contests even ran tonight… :(

  • Flyinpillowmonsta

I had around 5k in bonus money on fantasy draft when they decided to move to the no rake subscription model. They told me they would give me half off my sub price until I used all my bonus money.

Now they have switched back to a regular rake model and they wont respond to my emails about getting my bonus back.

Not sure what it is going on at their site but this is not acceptable.

On top of all that what they pulled tonight on their customers is terrible. The contests had started, live scoring was available for 20-30 minutes after lock. People spent tons of time building lineups and attacking the overlay and then they just cancel all the guaranteed contests for what they call site problems. Their site was working fine until about 5 minutes before lock and it was no different than the problems they have every NFL sunday when their site doesnt work properly. I know Twitter is fired up about this garbage but not sure why Rotogrinders forum isnt.

    ….

  • Russ99

I wondered why even the players freeroll didn’t run. “Site problems” huh?

  • mpuntsch

That is bullshit what they pulled and it was too damn convenient to do when they had 12 of 20 slots filled in the 50-50’s and 400 of the 700 in their $25/ $20,000 contest..wasted time and effort putting in lineups and was going to make out in the overlays with 50-50’s..assholes

  • mpuntsch

oh yeah, their “contact us” reply isn’t working now either but one can deposit more money!!

  • Russ99

I’m with you mpuntsch…all the 50/50 weren’t full…. maybe 60% max…I’m out of there. Will just focus on the other four sites

  • Flyinpillowmonsta

The contests were guaranteed. There was zero reason to cancel them. Zero. The site problems were minor. No major site has ever cancelled guaranteed contests based on such thin reasoning. The live scoring had started and was able to be seen for 30 minutes or so. Dont get what is going on over at Fantasy Draft.

I have really enjoyed playing at their site and have payed them thousands of dollars in rake and will still continue to be a customer if they can right the ship and just treat their customers fairly.

Perhaps people shouldn’t forget where FantasyDraft originated from. Also, can’t be surprised that a much smaller site could be having issues (just my thought – haven’t seen anything concrete on this) in these tough times.

  • Jvanspro

Settle down guys. If you didn’t notice Fanduel had major issue last night as well. Fantasydraft has always be a stand up company. I’m sure they are struggling right now.

  • Flyinpillowmonsta

I must have missed the part where Fanduel cancelled guaranteed contests for no reason. Pretty sure fanduel did not do this and Fantasy draft did. Sites have problems sometimes. Fantasy Draft’s site has problems a lot. No big deal. People understand sites have problems. You cannot under any circumstances cancel guaranteed contests, especially 30 minutes after they have started.

This is a big deal. You cant cancel guaranteed contests. The precedent it sets for not only fantasy draft but the industry as a whole moving forward is really scary if allowed to stand.

  • PainBot

This is probably the end of FantasyDraft. It almost seems they saw the overlay and the bath they were going take and hit the self-destruct button to get out from under the loss. They will have to answer to whatever states they were licensed in as well.

  • noddy

No MLB contests in their lobby for today. I hope everything is OK

  • mpuntsch

They could have had technical issues which created the overlays or the overlays created the technical issues…I will try and be understanding during these tough times and give them the benefit of the doubt and hope they get things right because I like that site and it’s a good alternative to Dk and fanduel…atleast there i’ve won a couple bucks ;)

Yep. I’m not bolting just yet.

  • Russ99

Well for anyone interested, my withdrawal did go through and money is back in PayPal today, so that’s encouraging at least that the ship hasn’t completely sunk

  • Flyinpillowmonsta

Credit where credit is due. Fantasy Draft just emailed me and told me they were giving me back all 5k of the bonus money. I greatly appreciate them honoring their word on this matter.

Hopefully the guaranteed contest situation can be remedied as well from friday night

  • rog11sm

when I tried getting on the site earlier in the day it kept telling me no contests available, that was yesterday

Did you actually get the money yet? And what do you mean giving you back?

  • SkateFiend

Maybe technical glitches allowed users to edit their lineup after lock (no late swap at that site). I’ve heard rumors here some people were able to do this occasionally on other sites.

At least they refunded the entry fees. DK had a handful of glitches in their NBA contests which prevented me from swapping out players 20,30 minutes before lock. I was stuck with Al Horford in one contest when I wasn’t able to make appropriate swaps following late breaking news. I don’t think I got my entry fee back.

Yahoo also kicked me out of a few contests. The contest still ran, but they cancelled MY entries. This apparently happened to few people as well.

As long as my private info and money are safe, I can live with the refund. But fantasydraft is just too niche for its own good. They practically gave up on hockey and their lineup configuration for NBA is a nightmare.

Sunday morning of the first weekend back for “real” DFS and still no contests listed. No note or anything on the site indicating what might be happening. Not a good look.

  • Flyinpillowmonsta

It is not in my account yet but they did say it would take a couple days. Hopefully they are just doing some internal tweaks to their system and they will be ready to roll on Monday.

Giving the bonus money back to me means simply they gave me a large bonus for a large deposit awhile back. Before they went to the no rake sub model. When they did that they took the bonus money away. But now that they have gone back to the traditional rake model I asked for my bonus money back and they gave it back so thank you Fantasy Draft.

Really hope they can rebound and give us an alternative to the two big site.

  • noddy

Well I hope it works out also. The ironic thing is when I emailed them last week I asked about how they were doing and that I was concerned with their lack of traffic so to speak and they emailed back saying not to worry because even if something happened the money for players is in a different account or something like that.
