    Wolff birdie!

  • lfn1992

All English and Wolff need to do is do what Fatrick did today and shoot -8 on the NC in a windstorm, easy!

Add to that Jason Day going only -6 and I’ll be in like flint on the weekend!

  • byo34

Wolff with the hole out from the bunker on the last!

Just need a Noren/Reed type of round tomorrow and should be all good!

The south course is going to be a real blood bath tomorrow.

I’m glad you have it figured out, because I have no clue what’s going to happen tomorrow. I know the North course is the more exposed course…so there’s that I guess.

I have a lot of lineups where my worst golfer is -2 and they are still doing awful. Is this one of those “cuts at -5” or something courses?

Same as me. But 5 of my 6 played the easier course today. Best case scenario is that the “easy” north course plays much harder tomorrow and the guys who played the south can’t gain much ground. May see a huge shift of the leaderboard, or much of nothing to see. Will be very interesting.

Sucks when I put a bid in for someone on Jock Market on Wed and forget to go cancel it when the guy is +4 on Thurs. Stuck with HV3 now.

What do you think of Jock Market Brian?

    Do you play
the hardest part of the courses at the easiest time?
the easiest part of the course at the easiest time?

I just saw Sir Nick asked the question who would you rather be…. (cut line would be -1 now)
Reed -8 (on NC today) or McIlroy -4 (on SC today)

I dont think Sir Nick had an answer…He thought about it but hedged.

I’m still not sure. I kept trying to get in on IPO and kept getting out-bid. Seemed like you could only bid on one during IPO, right? I can’t figure out a strategy, like just go all in on your one favorite, or maybe wait til you can buy more than one dude after the IPO and try to spread around a little. IDK. I’ll keep watching it, but I don’t really know what I’m doing.

  • BrianVT

I’ve really never seen my leaderboard like this. I have ownership in T1 and TDFL, and everything in between. I hope interesting things happen tomorrow.

  • BrianVT

That .66 difference last week is nothing compared to 3.73 difference this week (between courses). Yet, the predicted cut this week is lower than last week, and that makes an even bigger difference (between the two weeks).

If I like a golfer and he’s at say $2.50, but I’m willing to pay $4.33 that’s what I will bid. If no one outbids me I don’t pay the full $4.33. I just pay what was bid say maybe $3.75 and they put the money back in your account right away.

As far as strategy it’s up to you I would say. I like several golfers hoping maybe one or two do really well, but that’s just me. This week I have

8 shares of Malnati for $2.75 each
7 shares of Jones for $4.00 each
7 shares of Higgs for $2.96 each
5 shares of Knox for $3.51 each
10 shares of Wilkinson for $1.56 each
10 shares of Percy for $2.04 each
5 shares of Hickok for $4.00 each

If someone doesn’t make the cut you only get $1 each per share back so It’s taking a risk, but high reward if you get lucky.

    69.449 = North (-2.551)
    73.167 = South (+1.167)

  • noddy

I also try and bid as late as possible. Maybe 4-5 minutes before lock. Golf always locks at 8:58pm EST on Wednesday. It never goes until 9pm exactly.

  • Steverino01

4 of my 6 golfers on the south course are under par, but then I have Day and CH3, ouch!

I did win all my 4 day entry fees back + a $10 SB milly ticket with my 6 NC golfers in showdown. I usually don’t mess with RD1 SD, but I knew there would be lots of people not knowing how much easier the north course was, so had to play it.

    Now, that’s an advantage!

  • Money0227

I went as late as possible with North course tee times for Round 2 SD. I have guys like English and Horschel so I don’t think ownership will be a problem. Maybe I get a lot of holes in great conditions Saturday morning??? Maybe I get a couple WDs from guys who just want to get out of there??? Who knows???

  • RipCityRings

My single bullet landed at 158th in DTG-

    -8 Reed
    -6 Cam Smith
    -6 Palmer
    -5 Scott
    -2 Ghim
    E Ortiz

Ortiz is going to be a sweat tomorrow, but at least he and Ghim get NC…

  • BrianVT

Thanks, Noddy. I think the difference is that I’m never willing to throw enough money into something to make it interesting. So, that means I’m boring for one, but I also don’t like to lose much money. It’s also why I bought GME at $270 and sold at $320, and I don’t care if people make a ton of money; at least I didn’t lose any.

But, since I got a free $20 for my $20 deposit, maybe I’ll give it a stronger go next week. Thanks for the input!

I would feel better if I could get Michele Wie’s take on this.

She could maybe like add the two courses together and then like multiply by 2, but I’m thinking like maybe not divide in half. We’d have to check with her on that.

I had my best first day ever by far including 11 lineups in the top 500 in the big 50 cent contest of DK. My top lineups in that contest are sitting in 9th, 11th, 37th, and 43rd. That’s all about to change tomorrow.
