What’s pointing against him? Great course history. I know he hasn’t played in a while, but is there an injury or something besides his normal antics?

  • badtrip

I hate to jinx myself but I have to admit…. I am oh so heavy on Mollie.

Weather draw and a mixed bag of golf clubs. But he’s been great here.

    What’s projected Ghim Reaper ownership?

I assume he means tee time, lack of recent play, and swing coach/club changes (and possibly weather and the idea that he is perceived as soft and not gritty enough, but I think he should be just fine as a mudder). I plan on getting a little over the field but not going gung-ho.

Ok thanks. I’m keeping the exposure I have. Thanks for the warning. And good luck everyone!!!!

I think he bounces back this season. Read something about taking time off from golf while attempting to relocate his family to CA. He was just so great in 2018. It’s hard to imagine him not getting some of that back now that he’s settled.

Tony + Deki + Moli — What could go wrong?

  • Shaver933

MKF Stat Shootout for R1 is “over 86.5” to pay 10x. That seems outstanding if you take all NC guys.

  • marker0357

    Moli/Grillo/Huh – sounds like a QB call

I was at 12/20. But I dialed back to 7 lineups. GO REAPER!

Does he hit it far enough to do well here ?

I’m 0/13 with Tony and Mats. Just think last week might have taken a little out of Tony for this week. I’m usually wrong, so you’re probably in good shape.

Smith and Day tee off late in morning which is gonna be no bueno!! Winds are going to be increasing late in morning with a major rain storm hitting tomorrow afternoon.

Careful with this thought process. Winds will be increasing later both days (almost always happens near the ocean) and the major storm you’re referring to will be hitting this evening and running all the way through tomorrow. Weather is obviously fickle but the forecast is calling for heavy rain from about 10pm tonight until about 5pm tomorrow.

I am full fade and lack of length is a big part of that decision. But he did win the API (and cough up the Masters) not that long ago . Not saying length is as critical there as here, but it’s a difficult and not short course where you either have to be long or flush with your long irons. But I’m with you. If I’m going to take a guy who isn’t the longest at Torrey Pines, he needs to have flashed some nifty long iron work recently and have a solid scrambling game (I’m not sure Moli currently meets either criteria).

I think he added a little distance last year. I know he can hit the top of the bag real solid. The rough is nasty so I’m betting that with wet conditions, fairways and general smart, grinding play with pure ball striking is going to pay off for someone like him.
I do expect to see a lot of yardages starting with a 2 on ST, and a lot of 30+ft birdie putts. I think he’s a class player that feels good about the state of his game.
