went to enter the $4 gpp and noticed rake was 16.07…had to say NO they just forced me out of spending a few hundy on cfb.. I said yes all the way from 10 to 16 percent but will just bet on games on line as it saves time and energy and money in the long run. I just enjoy fantasy over betting but my money last a lot longer there

Must be nice that whenever you feel like raising profits a 1% you can just take it from the consumer, without really needing to add anything to the experience or have justification, it can be done largely because the majority of your consumers don’t even notice.

Edit* – this post made me check the quarter game as those traditionally have had the most rake, and sadly is around the level where I usually reside… and you think what you saw is bad, the Quarter Main Slate GPP is at 16.49% Yuck!

This is absolutely disgusting. Continuing to ninja increase the rake to choke the games when they should be lowering it.

i have always said they should clearly show the rake without making us work for it…what is funny is they lower it for big guys so rich get richer…yea i know that is standard in most industries but why chase out the low $ players…i may like to put 100 bucks in a small gpp vs in a high $ one but i am still spending same money.
I think the sportsbook is where they want you to go but i will not use theirs no matter what…The biggest thing that contributes to ROI is rake..period

I was looking on wiki about this but didn’t see anything. However I remember playing on DK before they changed their name (did they?) or perhaps they bought up the site I was playing on. Anyway I would always get surveys and at the end I would always write that the rake was too high. This was around the time when many players were arguing on forums if the rake was 10% or 20% for cash games, if anyone recalls that, this was really early on.

So they would always reply that once they get established the first thing they would do is reduce rake :)

The sites are very short sighted. With the way it is going they will produce losing players faster and the churn rate will keep going up. The big winners will move to pastures new and they will be left with just a hardcore players passing rake with each other.

Yahoo needs to get into CFB with their consistent 12% rake
