They’ve done this for NBA in the past where they’ve switched player positions, every had to play Boogie one night, every had to play Swaggy P one night, etc.

    Looks awesome!

This is different because on those, you had to do a full lineup. It looks like mix-up will be smaller lineups. Today’s is just 5 total players. I love it.

Just saw this. Looks fun but I hope they don’t switch to two pitchers like DK. I’m much more profitable on FD than DK. Largest score on DK baseball is $1100 as compared to FD at $8500.

I entered the free play just to see what it was about and I actually like it better than regular MLB DFS.

I am not opposed to this.

I didn’t say it was exact, just they’ve MIXED things up before.

This is close to Play Draft Dream Team, except Dream Team has no salary cap.

  • Jvanspro

    I love this idea.

  • CUTiger81

I love this idea. Huge fan of sites being willing to mix it up (no pun intended) and give us different offerings. Doesn’t have to be for big money, just something fun and creative.

  • TheRyanFlaherty

I’m gonna give it a try.
DFS can be a grind, so I’m all for trying to make things more interesting/fun.
Especially in a world of optimizers/lineup sellers, I’m hoping stuff like this flys under the radar.
As long as there’s low stakes options, I’ll likely be throwing a $1 in and taking a shot.

    love it

Love the idea. Will be interesting to see if the winners skew towards stacking or not

curious about it but can see a scenario where that are a lot of duplicate lineups

  • noddy

    This is pretty cool

  • crazypaul

I think this has the potential to be a lot of fun. With them changing the format of it each week, I would love to see some cool formats like low ball, AL/NL only, 2016 All-Stars, ect…

On a side note, I cashed yesterday and used Gsellman lol

They run smaller entry fields where same combination are pretty rare.

I think they very from 130 entree to 1000

Played the $1 Single Entry yesterday and won $20… Pretty cool idea, makes it easy to get a little action without having to fully research every position… I went Paxton/Severino and Murphy/”(player-popup)Trea Turner”:/players/trea-turner-21824… I know, not groundbreaking by any means, but I enjoyed it, i will play again today.

  • TheRyanFlaherty

I won in mine as well, despite messing up the pitchers – went Lester and Bundy which didn;t go all that well. Batters were Rizzo, Turner and Franco.

I saw some posts mentioning strategy, and I think an interesting part of this is going to be that it is going to be difficult to define correct strategy, or get into a routine because the format is going to change weekly (if I was reading things correctly). Right when you think you figured out 2 Pitchers, 3 batters, they’re going to mix it up again.

I can see where that may not be desirable to everyone, but personally, I know I can get in ruts and routine where I’m constantly using the same small group of players, so I like the idea of getting to approach things from a new angle.
It’s also a nice alternative if I want to play a few bucks but don’t have time to do significant research before hand.

  • CUTiger81

Took 2nd in the $3 yesterday. Really fun format.

  • TheRyanFlaherty

They switched the theme to no pets…editing my post because I didn’t initially see where they specified it as no animals.

Guess that certainly mixes things up because the first place I was going tonight were Cubs, now I’ll have to rethink things.
