Ugh. Nice how they use the week-long layoff as lubricant to slip it in (NHL rake hasn’t changed). For sure more people won’t notice the added entries to not only the tournaments and big quintuple ups, but the big double ups as well. In fact, the increase is bigger in the double ups (and quints)—12% to 13%, so now these cash games are raked what the tournaments were raked last week. Way to build that animosity with your customers, FD! Keep up the good work!

It will be 20% soon if regulation is put into place.

    Better than 100%…

20% isn’t beatable for cash games though.

Goddamn this site is just full of people itching to insult. All I meant was I’d rather have regulations than having my money stolen (see FH). When my money is stolen, the rake is 100%.

    But yeah, I’m stupid.

Some of you people here are nothing but grown children.

  • Aalbanese102089

LOL. I know what FH is, thanks for pointing that out.

  • Nookx

Rake is the #1 problem that faces the industry long term. I think its horrible that both dk and fd continue to add rake increases over time as the player field becomes stronger and stronger due to more public knowledge.

Obviously you didn’t understand my point so I didn’t want to assume anything.

Bubble, meet DFS. DFS, meet Bubble.

Smaller sites have less rake. Since it hasn’t been said… Build better lineups or move to a site with less rake. Lol

I play pretty regularly on Aces, but feel free to point me toward a smaller site where I can get $2k in volume without playing a 4-man 50/50.

I love the smaller sites. FantasyDrafts rake is 10% no matter what? Can’t beat it.

slightly higher rake is fine. Would you rather they dip into player funds? lol

You want these sites to stay in business through these difficult times, or you want to be selfish?

In the end, it still takes great lineup construction and strategy to beat “rake”

just wondering, at what % rake would you stop playing?

Once the government steps in with regulation, 20% rake is inevitable. However, I imagine there will be rewards programs that could bring that number down significantly. Obviously, I’m just speculating, but it’s difficult to imagine a more favorable scenario. Also, keep in mind that 20% is a lot of rake to cash game grinders, but the majority of folks out there will still play GPPs. The chance to turn a few dollars into a few hundred thousand will always have great value in of itself.

    What is Aces’ rake?

Honestly, strength in numbers. If you and Monstertruckralley moved some action over to Aces, maybe they would consider raising those 50/50 sizes.

id stop playing if the payouts were awful. If I can still get GPPs around 20% payout, it’s good to go with me

I had talked about this earlier when everyone was saying rake was just 10% yet it wasn’t the case with FD. They just keep raising and we tolerate it. Got to pay those lawyers somehow. FD has lost my business as I pulled off my funds. GL all

  • NGJSkillz

It’s amazing how these sites get away without clearly stating how much you are paying in rake, for each contest you enter.

  • deejones49

Real casinos dont rake this much and you get free drinks. I quit playing double ups with higher than 10% rake. The rake increase shrinks the player pool

  • Avgplayer

We are not talking about a major staff at FD and DK. There is no way payroll is not covered the 1st week, month of NFL. Operations cost would be cover by the rest of the NFL season. Every other sport NBA,CBB,CFB,MLB,NHL, ETC…Where does that rake go? Some of it has gone and in some cases still goes to MLB,NBA,NHL,UFC,RG,Morgan and Morgan etc……

If you just look at the rake from GPPs alone for 1 day and then realize that there are thousands of cash games, satellites,league,50/50s etc that 1 day aswell getting rake. There really is a number of reason why rake is growing higher and higher. The main 1 is greed!

  • GETMONEYY43

Whens a enough, enough? The avg player doesn’t care thou.

  • Meatacus

I noticed some rake increase as well, not a fan of that. FD makes plenty, surprised rakes aren’t lowering. They were making millions every week in the NFL. Quit frigging advertising and lower the rake!

  • whodat2

Here is what most don’t understand. Take a $109 head to head or 50/50. If you lose, you lose $109. If you win you win $91….. not $100. They rake twice what the sportsbooks do. AND I still play because I love it. But I would be lying to you if I told you I could beat the rake.
