Ugh. Nice how they use the week-long layoff as lubricant to slip it in (NHL rake hasn’t changed). For sure more people won’t notice the added entries to not only the tournaments and big quintuple ups, but the big double ups as well. In fact, the increase is bigger in the double ups (and quints)—12% to 13%, so now these cash games are raked what the tournaments were raked last week. Way to build that animosity with your customers, FD! Keep up the good work!

It will be 20% soon if regulation is put into place.

Another competitor gone, I’m surprised anyone shocked this move is being made.

20%? After FH, people should be willing to sacrifice some extra rake to have this shit regulated.

Sounds like staffing cuts and top-heavy CEO salaries need to level off…..

People would stop playing at 20%. They’d still have GPPs filled, but contests under 500 or 250 wouldn’t fill – and in that case, they might not be making enough money to stay in operation and expect profitable upside. And if they don’t see that upside, then what’s the point of starting and running a business?

FD may have raised their rake. But I feel confident that when, and if, it comes time to make a withdrawal from FD that I will receive the money.

Bubble, meet DFS. DFS, meet Bubble.

That’s not funny. Too soon yet. When our moms want in, then OK. Bubble and DFS will be coming back from the honeymoon looking for an annulment.

I think you just inadvertently answered the question.
They WERE making making millions every week…now that NFL is gone, the increase could be in response to that huge loss in revenue, especially is this window before MLB starts.

I have to admit I haven’t really checked rake in a while…I just calculate payout percentages.
I was just happy that the $1 GPP I enter pays out 2.5x today, which seems to be the configuration they’ve changed to on the weekends.
Wish that was the norm in the NBA GPP’s.

What I also find despicable is they went out of their way to pick just a few of the tourneys. So they purposefully decided to increase their revenue just a little by cherry picking large double ups and multipliers in which the rake is less evident. Shady on several levels, but basically saying we don’t need the money, we just want to rake you as much as possible without you knowing about it

It almost looks like a flat 0.5% increase went in at FanDuel, 13% bumped to 13.5% in most spots, the $1 & $2 Single entry mini and the $1 GPPs are their worst offering at around 15%

Layoffs, legal fees, end of NFL, deposit bonus programs, referral programs *cough RG *cough, end of year taxes coming up, etc. etc. rake is how they pay the bills, that or player funds and we see how that turns out, FantasyUp pre-bailout, FantasyHub right how.
