Hello Grinders. We had a solid month of February with a total of 116 blog entries coming through. As such, it’s time to recognize those whose contributions really stood out. If you didn’t win this month, we encourage you to keep writing and innovating.
As a reminder, RotoGrinders also recognizes blog winners through badges that will appear in your user profile trophy case. You’ll begin to see these soon if you were a blog winner.
Below are this month’s blogging awards. Each blogger will receive an award in FanDuel credit within the next few days for their hard work and dedication. Congratulations to everyone.
February’s Blogger of the Month award goes to“juicetea22” for their “Cash For Clunkers” series. juicetea22 cranked out 16 entries in the month of February to help NBA DFSers navigate through our biases. The premise of the series is to identify a “clunker” on the slate (aka a guy we generally hate to play) and see if he can help us win some money. juicetea22 also reviews results from the previous night to see what worked and what didn’t. Great job juicetea22!
This month’s Blogger of the Month – Runner Up is “GuarGuar.” GuarGuar’s “Pick and Pop” blog series has been a constant in the blog section in February, breaking down each NBA slate by position with a focus on usage and matchups. GuarGuar is also quick to respond to questions you may have and share thoughts, which has been great for the RG community. Definitely give GuarGuar’s blogs a scan when you have a chance.
“Cooper08” is the winner of February’s Blog Post of the Month. Generally known for their fantastic blogs on golf, Cooper08 did a fantastic blog post previewing the Daytoya 500 here. The level of detail provided on the drivers and strategy was incredibly well done. There is always a need for more NASCAR DFS content, and Cooper08 did a great job filling that need through this blog post. Well done!
“elving188” is this month’s Best New Blogger. elving188 burst onto the RG blog scene with their “My Player Pool” series, which gives a high-level summary of a position-by-position breakdown. The nice part about it is that each player generally has a one-sentence description, which makes it easy to read and quick to follow along. We’re looking forward to reading more work by elving188 in the future.
Finally, this month’s Most Interesting/Entertaining Blog goes to “joeymc301” for his blog on how to spend your NBA break, which you can find here. We too often focus on the daily grind of life, work, family, kids, DFS, etc. without taking time to ever stop and take a breath. Well, joeymc301 uses this blog entry to recommend a few ideas on how to spend the NBA All-Star weekend, with some tips on re-evaluating your game selection and DFS process to prepare us for the second half of the NBA season.
Thanks again to everyone who contributed in February. See you all next month.
