    Grinders,

Wanted to get some of your feedback as we get closer to our completely rake-free offering.

From time to time I’m going to drop in on this but wanted to keep it simple and see what you would prefer.

Double Ups: Lets use a $5, 229 person Double Up as an example. This is (was) an industry standard size, raked at 12.7%. (Sites are taking 29 x $5 = $145 out of the prize pool)

When we move to rake-free, would you prefer:

    EXAMPLE

    Option 1:
Change it to $5, 200 person, with the top 100 winning $10
(competing against 29 less people than other sites for the same prize)

    or

    Option 2:
Change it to $5, 229 person, with the top 100 winning $11.45
(competing against the same amount of people as other sites, with a larger prize than other sites) (Think of this option as a “Double Up Plus”)

Both of these options make more players winners and require less of a win-rate for a player to be cash game profitable – All good things for you all!

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

fantasydraft has had various rake-free contests for some time now

  • FORJStamp24

I would vote for having both. Option 1 will be what used to be a 50/50, top 50% paying out a full double up. Option 2 being what used to be a double up paying out top 43.5% but now paying out a little more for cashing as a “double up plus”
If I had to choose though, option 1 is much more simple to look at and grasp from a casual players perspective and top 50% cashing is my favorite cash game format.

  • rgriffin37

I’d choose option 1. Pays out 50% like a 50/50 but doubles up your entry. Nice and simple.

Please Please offer more single entry 50/50 at all stakes

What makes your site undesirable to me is you allow the best of the best to multi enter $1 50/50’s, which even with no rake is not worth it to me compared to other sites that limit the elite from small games

If forced to choose option 1 makes the most sense

I am intending to support the rake free as long as the games make sense

Our 50-50s have been single entry for the entirety of MLB, as well as NFL.

    Thanks for the support!

I thin I would go for option 1 as well as it makes it easy to figure out knowing you just needs to win over 50% of the time to be profitable. I am not a fan of the idea of offering both as I like contests to be as large as possible and that just dilutes the player pool if you split contest offerings into many different types of cash games.

  • yisman

It’s really the same to me but to keep it simple, I’d go with option 1.

To the casual player, it would definitely be simpler to have a rake free 50/50 where you just need to cash 50% of the time to break even.

  • Srmustangs

Option one surely. Cant wait to see what you offer.

You’ve been playing DFS as long as anybody and you’re still feeding on the $1 games. And complain that the “elite” aren’t limited enough. Alrighty then.

if you actually listened to what he said then you’d realize that he’s advocating for an ecosystem that’s better for all

Brit’s trying to help and you’re just coming off really bad because he’s good at this and therefore doesn’t have any ability to wish well for the overall ecosystem. He’s advocating for what you want but you’re too jealous of his success or something to see it.

maybe jealously is the wrong word? spite perhaps?

He’s advocating what you want and you attack him for it?

You could not have misinterpreted my motive any more. Neither of your two words characterize it. I guess I could suggest you compare the results, but this isn’t a d—measuring contest.

Anyway, I’m not the one still feeding on $1 games while complaining about supposed elites, and he’s been at this longer than some of the people restricted from low stakes. He certainly wants a “better” ecosystem to continue feeding himself. All he had to do was request single entry 50/50s, but banging the drum on restricting “elites” is just kinda scummy coming from him. Or maybe I’m just jealous/spiteful of his being allowed to post $1 H2Hs and I’m not, yeah, that’s it.

Eh, this was probably way too long of a post and I should’ve just gone with “lol jealous of Brit.”

  • DFSx42

guy comes in with a positive suggestion and you attack him for it like a 12 year old then you try to act like the bigger man while also talking about comparing results… dude… you need a better mirror

I would play either type, but option 1 is simpler

  • SkateFiend

Option 1 sounds like a better idea, and I’m intrigued by rakeless cash games in general, but I feel like fantasydraft’s format makes cash games harder. I tried their rakeless h2h for NBA and got pwned. And they have no late swap. But that’s another issue.

On a separate note – I think it’s great that DFS sites make an effort to reach out to customers like this, at a time when social media sites are demonetizing and deplatforming users for the most random reasons. I’m off social media other than my FB account and I’ll avoid business relationship in which I’m a user / product, not a customer.

I accidentally deposited 20 dollars (that’s their default amount I believe) twice and each time the rep returned it to me, despite their rule on withdrawing only winnings.

Keep it simple, Option 1 for sure. Hopefully doing this will lead to larger contest sizes since there will no longer be a need for both double ups and 50/50s as they’ll be merged. Would be nice to have single entry 50/50s with at least 40 or 50 entrants at the $25 or higher level to provide decent opponent diversification. Looking forward to the rollout!

I am on my phone and can’t seem to figure out how to PM. However my user name on fantasy draft is the same. Bigez952

I am looking forward to the rake free and thank you for the $5 fantasy cash as I just ran my account to $0 and it will give me a chance to play 1 more contest before having to redeposit.
