I am a newbie to DFS who happens to be female. I would love to meet, network, chat with other females who play! Actually since I am totally new and know no one else who plays I would love to meet anyone who will put up with my questions!

Are you sure this isnt a catfish, and you are actually a dude trying to pickup DFS chicks?

Kidding aside, wish more females were at least friendly to this. I saw my wife in that State Senator from Manhattan in her tirade against DFS.

There were 4 women in the Football World Championship in San Diego and 2 placed in the top 10 winning $450,000. Women players seem to be arriving and I expect that number to increase.

There used to be more, but I think it was dude’s multi accounting to scam affiliate promotions.

Hey ravenov—-there are plenty of women that play DFS. I’ve been playing since 2012 and talk to some others (frequently) who also are successful. I direct messaged you. Look up on the right corner of your screen and you will see a message. Happy grinding and welcome to the game.

My wife plays PGA but that’s it at the moment.

Also a female who plays! There are a lot of them, they just aren’t as common as men.

    It’s like a reverse Pinterest.

It’s awesome to see a few female players. Unfortunately many men in relationships who play have to deal with a scene similar to the John Oliver skit with Seth Rogen and his wife (I forget her name) even when they’re not nearly as stupid as the theoretical Seth Rogen.

    Hi Raven,

There are some great podcast interviews here on RotoGrinders with a few females involved in DFS. I think you will enjoy listening to their stories. I have been playing DFS since 2012. It’s great to see other female DFS players step up and not be so anonymous. Feel free to contact me on Twitter @nvalencia30 or send me a message here on RG with your questions.

I am also female and have been playing about the years. I enjoy sports and love stats. It would be great to share my thoughts and share what I have learnt so far.

Hey, girls! I’m a female DFS player as well. I’ve been doing it for about 2 years. It’s a lot of fun, & I’m glad to see that there are so many other women becoming involved in what has traditionally been a male-dominated interest.

Yo wassup straight up female here too. Feel free to hit me up on my myspace or send me a message on here. Peace out homies.

I just got my girlfriend to start playing. She never gave me a hard time about it, but just never really asked about it. Last week I let her pick a roster for the NFL Millionaire tourney on DK and told her that first place was $1mil. She opened an account and has been playing freerolls and quarter arcades since. She didn’t mind watching our home team’s games, but now she’s into watching them all.

It’s been a pretty good deal, and it’s great to see her interested in DFS.

Hopefully more women will start to play, as it can only be good for the sports industry as a whole, and relationships everywhere!

Projecting your bad experiences with women is not a particularly welcoming way to bring women into the DFS community. In all seriousness, sorry about your marital troubles.

Projecting his bad experiences with women? Seems a little harsh.

  • Thebelleoftheball

That is very true! I definitely like watching all the games with my boyfriend way more than I used to, because it actually matters to me what’s happening in them. I honestly think I’ve developed a stronger interest in fantasy sports in general than him (he’d tell you the same), lol.

My little group has a few female DFS players, but yeah, they are hard to find.
