Basically the entire forecast is a bunch of games where there’s a chance at rain, and no games where it looks very likely:

ARI @ CHC – A few showers and storms possible after 3PM, with better rain chances after the game. YELLOW / GREEN, because I can’t rule out a delay if a storm pops over the stadium, though I wouldn’t call it likely.

ATL @ WASH – Isolated storms early, with a potential late start if a storm lingers over the stadium… but again we are looking at overall coverage of 20-30%, so the chances of impact are low. YELLOW / GREEN.
Also a 10mph wind blowing in from right.

TB @ NYY – Maybe a stray shower, but no real worry. GREEN / YELLOW.

CLE @ DET – Scattered showers/storms early in the evening. Slightly better rain chances than the other games, but still not too high. Delay is possible. YELLOW.

MIL @ CIN – Isolated rain. YELLOW / GREEN.

SF @ COL – A few scattered showers and storms… again. And once again I don’t think it’s enough for a PPD. YELLOW.

No time for a full MLB update (on the road), but no big changes from AM forecast. A few games with isolated storms.. – Kevin

Yep, guess I should’ve checked the weather myself closer to game time because I had a lot of Brewers and was surprised to see them relatively low-owned. A definite night-killer.

at least gennett and frazier were heavily owned…..unreal

Ouch….got a nice ticket to the big dance tonight and stacked CIN players when I went to the forecast and the game was Green Lit…..Ouch!

I mean I have to say, Roth has been reliable enough to where I started to trust his forecasts implicitly. Turns out it was a bad move. Khris Davis and Ryan Braun in 25 of my 35 lineups tonight … and Chris Davis in all of them … wasted $$$ …

No update today, he was in the middle of nowhere he says. Did post a twitter before the game saying it looked ugly. Tough job, when you don’t have access to information before the game. Double check sources would be the lesson.

Well at least I wasn’t in a $300 tournament.

The lesson learned here is going back to doing my own weather checking. Maybe 30k lesson unfortunately. No one to blame but guy in mirror, just laziness.

Same here! Everywhere else said red light in Cincy. Had a damn good lineup that won’t see Lind, Gennett, Davis or Bruce play.

Ouch, Horrible call on not checking the weather yourself

Yeah let me make it clear … I let my guard down because in the past Roth seemed to give insights that I couldn’t glean with my untrained eye looking at widely-available radar. It was hugely helpful.

So props for getting me to blindly trust this in the first place. But at the end of the day it was my fault for not checking myself … it’s just so convenient to not have to go through all the games by ourselves … I mean I did it for week after week and finally gave up, there was no need to go anywhere but roth …

rest of the season I’ll be wasting time on weather.com double checking everything … :(

The real lesson here would be proper bankroll management. One nights losses should be trivial. Plus, you can always make your money back in the late game. They seem to be softer fields anyway.

Sounds like y’all want to burn him at the stakes. He said he was on the road and weather changes. He made a twitter update before the game started saying it was ugly. Geesh what more do y’all want.

Suarez and Frazier were 50% owned in the happy hour on FD. The other CIN players were sky high owned as well. Nobody knew this would happen. Unless you think 100% of the field is on RG.

The guy has given very solid weather updates all season . It is not up to him who you roster. Yellow still means it can rain.

His forecast was from the A.M. The weather sort of changes from 10:15 in the morning until 7pm at night.

Kind of a ridiculous statement if it was in response to what I said. I’m a single lineup guy so when I’m sitting in the teens in the Monster with a couple zeros, yeah it matters.

Shame Kevin isn’t perfect like the rest of us.
