With pitchers and catchers reporting, baseball season is just around the corner.

If any of you guys are like me, starting DFS MLB research can be a daunting task without the immediate gratification of DFS. A high stakes season long draft would really motivate me to get going.

My intial thoughts/preferences for a league:
    12 Teams
    Auction
    Roto
$1000 buy in? Would go more or less but probably at least $500 to make it worth it.

Obviously this is a VERY preliminary post and I’m totally open to any and all discussion.

Just saw this, would be interested!

I like your settings w/ daily FAAB, can’t do it w/o FAAB I don’t think.

  • piersb999

I am in. The rotogrinders season league last year had me hooked.

  • ATeam

i’m interested and would be down for $1000 buy-in. Any interest in making it an AL only league to increase the level of competitiveness?

    I’d be interested.

Depends on host site and ironing out parameters.

    Hey guys,

Didn’t realize there was interest in this and then was on vacation. It sounds like there is enough interest to pursue the idea further.

    Tentative list of players:
    1. DraftCheat
    2. AveryBradley
    3. piersb999
    4. jaw4527
    5. TheTonyM
    6. JDurden11
    7. m3tan

I’d say we need at least 10 to make this happen.

Is Yahoo okay with everyone? I’ve had the best experiences there in the past. Sounds like $1000 is fine with most people in this thread but we may need to drop to $500 to attract more interest.

I definitely want to stick to Auction. What are people’s thoughts on trades being allowed/veto rules? Being able to trade is obviously ideal but with higher stakes leagues collusion can become a factor. Just something to think about.

    Weekly or daily lineups?

Definitely want to do daily or weekly FAAB.

Want to hear everyone’s thoughts and hopefully we can get this off the ground.

im good with yahoo. for trades we could require unanimous approval to avoid collusion. id prefer daily lineups and daily FAAB.

I’d prefer no trades, just saves a lot of potential headaches with the bigger buy-in.

Also I just hate trades in roto leagues in general (people trading for blocks/steals/saves/SB specialists towards the end and everything getting drastically altered because of it)

Auction Daily FAAB with innings cap is the way to go I think. Also prefer Yahoo for its simplicity.

I would be in for this league if the buy-in is $500.
