Star studded field, strongest outside of the majors and the players. Decent contests, but DK could have gone a little bigger considering the field.

COURSE: Riviera Country Club, 7,322 yards, par 71. From the days when Douglas Fairbanks and Charlie Chaplin graced its fairways, Riviera has commanded its own star power since first opening its doors in 1927. Designer George Thomas pored over 15 possible layouts before settling on one that now features some of the TOUR’s most iconic holes. The par-3 sixth is famed for its bunker in the middle of the green, and No.10 is widely considered the best drivable par-4 in golf. The Los Angeles Open first arrived in 1929, and Ben Hogan’s three wins in an 18-month span – two L.A. Opens and the 1948 U.S. Open – earned Riviera the nickname “Hogan’s Alley.” This summer, the U.S. Amateur arrives for the first time.

Last years winner: Bubba Watson -14

Cut last year was even par.

Why does Jason Day always play like shit when I roster him . I wish his salary was 10.7 and A.Scott was 10 K .

With all this rain it will be difficult to fit in 4 rounds even if they play all day Monday. We wont be seeing golf again until late afternoon Saturday.

Looks like fading the PM/AM guys might work out. 😎

That’s the way I played my single entry for this tourney-away from the Thursday PM crowd:
    Dustin Johnson -5
    Phil Mickelson -4
    Adam Scott -3
    Adam Hadwin -3
    Jim Furyk -2
    Brandon Steele -2
Chalky AF, but great returns so far. I can only hope that round 1 wraps up tomorrow and round 2 restarts without any of my LU hitting the course before the monsoon takes full effect and play is halted.

Man I love Jhonny Vegas. He’s the one guy that seems to come through or at least not disappoint every time I play him. He may fall apart (hasn’t even finished his round), but I still love him either way.

  • QSchoolDropOut

    who am i kidding?

    I don’t know golf.

I picked Geoff Ogilvy in all my lineups. I thought he might do well this week and be low owned.

I love Phil Mickelson, but did not pick him because he always lets me down. I wish I would have picked him. I hope he wins even if i did not pick him

I’m the nicest guy in the world but now they pissed me off. There are afternoon tee times that have only gotten through 12!
Between the tour that can’t play a round of golf in 5.5 hours in perfect conditions, and the USGA that stacks it’s governing body with rules nerds that a shelter dog would avoid,..I wonder why golf is dead.

This is really awful. Tour players (who only touch the ball 70 times with their stick) can’t play a round of golf in 5.5 hours? Atrocious!

The tour and USGA is a hindrance to the game.

I don’t care how many times you hit it: If you can’t get around the freaking course in 5 hours, play forward tees, or get your slow ass off the course.

I could be wrong but I think the morning fog delays moved everything back, so the afternoon guys went off later than expected. Daylight is still pretty short here in February and with the storms rolling in I assume they lost daylight even quicker than normal due to cloud cover.

Just cancel the tourney and refund the monies

need a few of these from brooks today. I went full on 4 guys from the 7100 price point (thinking most would play 2 at most) and had a bad feeling about brooks…. eh oh well still has a chance…… lots of room for error from anyone and everyone in this weather…..I will not give up yet!

  • Rachelynn51912

    Any weather updates so far?

Was in the same boat as you…I had him in about 75% of my lineups because of his salary but I ended up taking him out of a bunch because of a bad feeling.

Only have about 25% exposure to him now thank god lol

Nothing has really started yet. The main stuff will be rolling in about 10PST. They should be able to get a few hours of golf in if they’d like but wind will be a factor. After the rain starts they won’t be playing again at earliest Saturday late morning.

Edit: Just looked at the radar. Rain is moving in a little earlier than expected. I’m not sure they are going to play at all today. They may try to get the first guys out so they can finish the first round and get a start on the second but there is not much golf going to be played today.

So if they only finish one or two rounds do the scores count for Draft Kings or do they give everyone their money back? I have a feeling that this storm is going to be real bad with flooding and damage and they are going to cancel the tournament on Saturday. I remember Pebble Beach 15 or so years ago, players came back a few months later to finish up.

I think in order to be an official PGA event it has to be 54 hole

my 1 entry in the $20 scramble has all 5 guys -2 or better and is currently in 29th place. So I guess I’m excited about that lu. But it is mild excitement with how the weather uncertainty will play out over the next 36 hours or so. All 6 of my guys in it were AM guys yesterday.

Kokrak -4 thru 12 to go with DJ -5 and Leishman -4 and Kuchar -2

Need English and my contrarian Watson to step it up but I’m winning $90.88 on $88 spent so I’m OK for now lol!

Hes not wrong though. Pace of play is the biggest issue for golf right now imo. Its a huge hugr problem. Even witb the what hour and a half fog delay the play is brutally slow.

  • mschu1213

Its going to be really shitty for these guys thathave to finish their first round not playing lift clean and place.

Pace of play has been an issue on the Tour for twenty years

It won’t get fixed today, tomorrow or next week or next year

I love that golf and baseball are played at thier own pace and hate that people want to change them

  • ccchalfant

I got 3 LU rocking one in 83,146, and 220 in the birdie
