I will absolutely give you the latter facet of your assessment, but I will respectfully disagree with you on your initial propoundment. No sport can be the best fantasy sport that blurs the differential between seasoned, talented DFS players and neophyte/unskilled DFS players. The more fantasy volatility a sport has, the more it favors less skilled DFS players as volatility tends to work against the skilled players and brings them down to the level of unskilled players. Fantasy Golf has the highest percentage of volatility of all fantasy sports.

For any week? YES. Over a period of time? Nope…. not even close.

I think my points are fair and unassuming. I originally asked an honest question. The fact that none of you can answer it honestly is no reason to split your pantaloons. Just because you may not agree with someone’s opinion does not equate to that someone being “a troll”.

You asked a fair question – in a condescending, divisive manner. Then proceed to troll anyone who replies. This board tends to be a friendly, even humorous, outlet for many. You are, currently detracting from that.
Ask questions, gripe about misses, glory in successes and interact with others – groovy. Argue with anyone who views things differently – deal with those consequences.
    Have a lovely evening.

And defeating one other person would prove what exactly? Better yet…

The free roll on Fantasy Draft next week. That would work best since they even throw out your lowest scorer. So you should have no problem finishing ahead of everyone else, correct?

I assume you have an account there under “JimKronlund”? If not, it’s free to join.

(I’ll bookmark this page in the case you don’t show up.)

I only play on DK as you probably already know. Its free to join as well. I dont want or need the lowest score thrown out.
On DK its completely equal for both sides.
I am suspicious if you say that you only play Fantasy Draft, and will not join DK. If you play DFS you really need DK if only for certain high $ events that are unmatched by any other site. Also other sports that others do not have.
Also, it is important to play on DK as most players here only play DK and that allows everyone here to follow as well.
As it is a lottery and you will lose no $. You have no reason (Edit) “NOT” to join.
So please send me your DK name. So no need to bookmark or anything. Easy Peasy.

If you will not do this on DK that tells me that you already have one and are known to us and want to hide that.

So, for instance, did you have Dustin Johnson in all your lineups since his stats were clearly the best of all golfers? If not, how come?

Yes I did on Monday, had less on tuesday, almost went 0 on thursday morning. I play max 20 in the quarter but this week the dollar. I choose a couple or more to play in $3-12 Gpp’s. 2 of the 3 I played higher were san DJ and my 100% DJ on the 20 was reduced to 50%. The reason is I will play against a 50% owned guy.

LOL I didnt do so good on my other picks, not to bad but no one at the top of the leaderboard.
24 of 120 roster spots dead
    3 6/6
    12 5/6

that variance you know about exists, your evaluation that I can compete on a more even footing is correct. but dont tell me even once that the people here are neophytes and sudo want to be’s. I would say than many Get it. I would like to believe that I get the DFS part much better than the golfing part. I also play with a budget and a relativly low balance in the account. I cash out when its $500+ leaving $200 and I add when I need to. Over the years I am a break even player and I think thats pretty good.

And in basketball if Andre Drummond doesn’t grab 15+ rebounds it’s probably due to the fact that the opposing team shot 65% from the field.

I agree with you that golf is very hard to predict.

Isn’t every sport random though? Does NBA have statistical analysis which can predict Andre Drummond not grabbing 15+ rebounds?

  • Jamcclea

So, who’s everyone feeling for weekend? Can fit DJ, Rory and Finau into a LU easily…

In the real world, you don’t get to censor anyone and everyone you disagree with. So, it’s time to grow up… adulthood awaits you whether you’re ready for it or not.

Oh I didn’t sensor you, I merely called you out. The basic tone of your first post, whether valid or not, was basically demeaning anyone in here who plays DFS Golf. To each their own, and I don’t understand your need that feel you have to come rescue us from our blind undoing. Maybe you love us after all, I don’t know. As far as adulthood? OK that’s a real LOL. You have no idea of what you speak. I wish I could prove that to you, but it would look like a lot more than a humble-brag. And we here are about humbleness…… except when we win a GPP of course, or beat BIF in a H2H.

I did not “bash the sport” of golf. I merely propounded that no statistical analysis can predict golf success. (That applies to both fantasy and regular betting.) Others having commented on this matter appear to agree

If any one statistic predicted golf success, then there would be a lot of DFGers with homes on the Riviera and the bookies would be bankrupt

No more than knowing Tom Brady passing stats predicts the Super Bowl

DFG is part stats and part art

Pretty much just playing the same guys I’m.on for full week.

Have not looked at pricing but i imagine it will be easy to.fit who I want.

    DJ Fleetwood and pieters core.

DvP. It shows that Drummond’s likelihood of success is much better against whatever signed street free agent is currently playing for the Nets versus, say, Rudy Gobert.

There is no equivalent to DvP in golf. The golfer is essentially playing against himself; and therefore, it is harder to predict since with no direct outside force working against him, DFS players are left with trying to ascertain how a golfer(s) are feeling going into an event.

Dude, recent performance, type of grass, weather conditions for that week, where a course allows for most strokes gained, course history

All these can be used to predict the outcome of a players performance

Will it work everytime no just like in nba the top pros don’t win every night.
