im trying to jam in as many 9-10k guys i can and then play the punts down low 7k or below – 120 man field so 50% at worst will get to play the weekend – considerably higher than a normal tourney – the leaderboard on sunday will most likely be all the top guys and a few punts mixed in – all the more reason to have 4 top guys jammed in instead of 3.
Last spot… Palmer, Bradley, Champ or Noren.?
Appreciate all of your guys help!
Which low 7k guys do you prefer? I’m on Kokrak, Noren, Niemann
Thanks Bif
Have a funny feeling about this guy this week
Winner: Thomas
Fade: Sergio, Bryson, Holmes, Grillo, Molinari
Sleepers: Homa, Kokrak
I laughed out loud at my desk here at work…very fitting comment for him, as this is how I picture him in the morning.
To be fair I do have him in one lineup right now instead of Luke List. Trying to figure out the lesser of two evils with these two..I will probably change my mind on them multiple times up until lock lol
Trying to remember from last season… Is Niemann really only playable on a bermuda putting surface? His decent stretch last summer seem to all come on bermuda though I guess TPS River Highlands is bermuda/poa. Am I remembering this wrong or incorrect about Riviera? Thanks…
Really like Homa this week. Anyone else?
Is this your feel good feeling of the week, like Schwartzel was last week?? I played the Barnrat the last two weeks and been burned badly.
I’m not sure I’d totally trust my “good feelings” week to week – hell, I don’t! -but if Barnrat’s game is clicking, this is exactly the sort of course where it would be really good. Putting is a bit of a concern but I love him on long approach shots.
I thought Niemman was a bent grass monster when he first joined the tour. Maybe that’s evened out.
I don’t think the NASCAR crowns awards are worth it? I reluctantly took a stab at the Tennis ones, trying to limit it to $1 a week. But the top-line NASCAR I am not seeing it?
Agreed on this type of track he could fair well, it sets up a bit like next weeks WGC in mexico IMO. As far as his putting and around the greens game..it has been brutal the past two weeks watching on shotracker, but your right he did hit some good long irons now that I think about it, just couldnt make a putt.
My line is feeling super chalky.. thinking about a Rose to Reed swap. Have to imagine Reed is significantly lower owned.
Anyone here on Patrick this week?
I don’t believe that cheap chalk burns you in the long run. I mostly just ignore ownership, even for GPPs. I’ve had a lot of success with cheap chalk.
What I might agree with is that cheap players often burn you. Of course they do…that’s why they are cheap. But the cheap players allow you to get a star. And it’s the cheap players that have the most potential value, if you can catch the pricing mistake.
Maybe the claim is that if you take a cheap player that you don’t really like, just because others are touting them, then you will often get burned. OK, I would agree with that. I try not to do it.
But I think it’s mostly just more memorable when the cheap chalk fails than when cheap non-chalk fails.
Winner – Tiger
Fade – DJ
Sleeper – Homa
Denny McCarthy okay here as my super cheapie ?
I guess that this is what I’m asking. After looking at the individual courses during his mid-summer decent run, I think you are correct that it’s bentgrass. Anyway, I thought that there was a green surface that he tended to excel on and it’s not poa. Not sure what the Riviera green surface plays like during this time of the year. Thanks for clearing that up for me.
EDIT: I’m trying to talk myself out of Niemann so load up!
I do not think I have seen Sungjae’s name all week… I feel like his game should correlate fairly well here
Phil has a fill-in caddy this week, for anyone who wants to throw that into their decision-making.
I believe my lineup will be duped over 200 times.
Winner: Casey
Fade: Bubba
Super Sleeper: Armour
Scott/Todd or Ancer/Morikawa….leaning towards the first two
what are the optimizers spitting out as the cash game plays
