Tour Junkies said Bubba was going to be the Chalk Bomb to MC this week, they have been dead nuts right the last 3 if not 4 consecutive weeks in a row on the chalk bomb MC

    So 5/6 and you don’t like cash – that’s money 💰

I don’t like the tilt! lol
I want my cash golfers to have 100 rushing yards and a TD by Friday night.

    LOL

    Same (Niemann)

    Jhonny Vegas 🙄
Makes 4 birds in a town from #8-11 only to bogey streak #13-15 to miss by 1

@BrianVT: I didn’t meant to come off as an ass about Bubba. I was just trying to provide some information to the forum. I also am in no ways trying to rub it in. I feel bad Bubba missed it the same way Niemann and Im missed it, who I have.

    Like for example.

    https://www.fantasylabs.com/pga/contests-dashboard/

This is for this weeks contest. If you notice, all the top max entry pros.

    Awesemo
    Giantsquid
    Anilprao88
    GoSixersGo76
    STLCardinals84 (a Rotogrinders member)
    Anguila

They have 150 entries each (check the link). That’s 900 entries. ALL of them have 0% Bubba Watson at THIS tournament.

Notorious (here on RG) also had 0% Bubba Watson.

In general all these Max entry pros play 0% Bubba Watson permanently and I was trying to tell you that info to let you know they will probably play very little or 0% actually in this case even in this tournament.

I’m not saying it’s right or wrong by playing Bubba. All I was doing was trying to provide information prior to the tournament to help. One way I learned NFL was to predict the pros plays. I try to see who Awesemo picks and try to predict that. That’s how I get better and here I was trying to provide you an example with their picks.

As you can see even in this tournament he’s won 3 times, ALL these guys had 0% Bubba Watson and they all Max entered 150. I was just trying to help, not rub it in.

Hey man you got Bubba right this time. We all get some right and wrong but when you’re right you’re right. Congrats. I did have plenty of Presidents Cup guys miss too though (JT, Niemann, Im).

    However….

I can’t state enough how much it doesn’t matter that the max entry guys you mentioned didn’t play Bubba. Those guys dominate a lot of sports but are very beatable in golf any given week. Some are better than others (Noto usually solid for example) but overall do not impress me the way they do in NBA, NFL, MLB etc.

i watched bubba miss a can of corn 3’ on 17 for birdie and i guess a 4’8” footer which i didn’t see on 18. golf variance. there’s no way anyone will convince me he wasn’t a good play this week but the golf gods give and take. congrats to the faders.

I have to laugh, you say luck luck luck about anyone is consistently successful but give these guys props for saying they weee dead nuts right about a guy who doubled 15 and bogied 18 to MC by 1 and he uncharacteristically putted poorly at a course he has dominated at. He lost over 4 shots putting and finished 116th out of 120 in putting.

Bubba was a good play that didn’t work out; if you want to use “luck”, here is a chance to use “bad luck”.

He was 22nd in SG Tee to Green and 40th in Approach – there is no way he should have missed the cut.

Well…. faded Mats and Rory and had too much JT and Bubba so not ideal… but also a lot of DJ, X, Kuch, Morikawa, V Taylor Rahm so hopefully the weekend works out

Total anomaly he missed the cut
His stats besides putting were very good

Bubba only beat JT by 1 shot but JT didn’t have a positive number in any SG’s category until his last 7 holes today. He hit it terrible and putted it bad until he made a couple putts late; he deserved to miss the cut – I can’t say the same about Bubba who hit it better than half the guys who made the cut.

So tomorrow I need Finau to take advantage of moving day and show everyone why he is 9th on the Tour in Day 3 scoring along with Xander who is 5th in Day 3 scoring.

A dreamer can dream can’t he???? Because I know for both of them Day 4 is a whole different story when it comes to scoring and their ranking.

  • marker0357

biggest bust for me looks like Niemann. I had him in nearly every lineup. When one of your core tanks, it’s not good.

I wasn’t giving them props I was just simply saying they have guessed the 4 last high percentage golfer to MC, they gave all sorts of statistical data why you shouldn’t play him referencing long term and short term stats. I could have easily just said screw it and not played him but I played some Bubba myself as I thought he was a good fit and had great course history, RF was also very good, all signs pointed to Bubba making the cut. You’re absolutely right, this MC was a case of bad luck. I also had 45% Niemann and another 35% Na (who has pretty decent CH here)

He missed so many effing short putts.

Unless he switches back to the pink Volvik, I’m locking him in again next year. He was a good play and I stand by that.

Ended up with 5 of my 20 lineups in the top 1% of the big FD $9. Unfortunately with Im and Lee missing the cut, only one of them is a 6/6:

    Rory -7
    Varner -7
    Scott -6
    Rahm -4
    Morikawa -2
    Tringale +1

  • BIF

Chappell tripled his 18th (#9) to miss the cut because he skilled one out of the green side bunker over the green then chipped and 3-putted for 7

    Ouch

Niemann, Sungjae and Bubba all bogied 18 to miss by 1 – no matter what you call it, it was unfortunate if you owned one or more of them.

I had shares of all 3 🙄 and Vegas bogey streaked #13-15 and also missed by one

But also I had CH3 who birdied 18 and shot 66 to make cut on the number and had Hideki (to give me a good 5/6 in cash) who birdied 18 to make cut

Pretty rare to get every break to go your way so gotta accept the good with the bad

  • monarch

Pretty happy with the results…my best 6/6 is

    Rory
    DJ
    Morikawa
    Ortiz
    List
    Poston

So there. I jinxed all of them

Totally agree, normally I’m on the receiving end of all those MC, today only Niemann had a major impact on me and Bubba a minor impact, it was nice not to get absolutely rawdogged today

I also had CH3 at a pretty decent percentage, I had wrote him off yesterday so was very pleased to have him make the cut and help me out

  • noddy

Had Bubba in 2/3 lineups and I get screwed as there’s no way he should have missed the cut. You can’t make this shit up.

  • tristanwolf

me an hour ago: well crap i probably won’t have any 6/6 now maybe i’ll get lucky with a couple $3 showdowns tomorrow…
me tilting three whiskies later: i’m dominating the $33 showdown tomorrow bitches! hulk smash!

  • edlovereze

Do we have the 6/6%? Curious if my 5/6 could make any noise in the FD $9

  • BIF

Gonna be lots of movement on the weekend; – no lineup is safe right now as this course dries out even more – greens will be even firmer as the weekend moves along; there is only 10 shots between Kuchar and last place – only 7 shots between last place and 5th place.

dk is about 13% 6/6 35% 5/6 you can prob min cash on fd.

  • RudyPujols

Sungjae killed my cash 6/6 (bad putter)
Niemann killed my Mayo 6/6 w/ Kuch (bad driver)
Kokrak killed my HM 6/6 (bad biscuits n gravy)
I do have a sexy 6/6 with Kuch and Rory in the big $3 3-max, so at least there is that.
