Full weekend- No showdowns – I need every birdie

I don’t like 4-day cash. If I’m doing cash, I want to know by the end of the night. So it’s only showdown for me, cash-wise.

Well had Sungjae, Bubba, Vegas, and Baddely all bite the dust to kill every lineup I had on the 18th hole today. Just an unreal cut/ tilt sweat today. With that said I’ll be back next week lol.

Chappell tripled his 18th (#9) to miss the cut because he skilled one out of the green side bunker over the green then chipped and 3-putted for 7

    Ouch

Ya that one hurt me a lot, I was super overweight on him

  • Dewoc19

    4/19 21% 6/6
    7/19 36% 6/6

Above the field average in both, so there’s some potential, I’m cautiously optimistic though. Cash lineup is 4/6 so that sucks as if liked to have cashed in those lineups, I’d need a super strong weekend from my 4 though

  • Steverino01

My 6/6 isn’t duplicated in the big $3 on DK, so I’ve got that goin for me. 275 points and currently winning or just outside of winning quite a bit of MLB and 5th Major satties.

    Kucher -9
    Scott – -6
    Rose -4
    Casey -4
    X-Man Even
    Moore Even

Need X-Man and Moore to go low on moving day.

Gonna be lots of movement on the weekend; – no lineup is safe right now as this course dries out even more – greens will be even firmer as the weekend moves along; there is only 10 shots between Kuchar and last place – only 7 shots between last place and 5th place.

Glad to hear. Sounds like 4/6 could beat 5/6 in H2H. Is that correct?

  • BrianVT

Anxious to see what the weekend brings for my cascading core 20 LUs, the core of which is my 1st place happy meal spot at the moment.

    Xander E
    Morikawa -2
    Bryson -4
    Casey -4
    Scott -6
    Kuchar -9

That core put me at 14/20 for 6/6, with the rest being 5/6. All 20 currently cashing.

Things can change in a heart beat, but a good Friday night position nonetheless. Due for a nice hit!

  • bluesunday1287

One lineup this week and it’s a 6/6. I was shocked to check tonight and see the percentage so low, carnage to close the day. I’m not cashing yet, hopefully that changes!

  • NickDiesel316

I have to imagine the 6/6% in single entry is a % or 2 less right? so something like 10% 6/6? or is that backwards thinking.

also if deki misses the cut we guess it would have been like 8%? i know 31% xander would have made it sub 5% lol

5/6 is still better as there are 2 more rounds to gain points and while it should play tough, there is still 3-4 pretty easy birdie holes so your 4/6 needs to play well

Nice work Brian – you have lots of live bullets to sustain some leaderboard movements; hopefully you have the right combo in there somewhere.

He was 22nd in SG Tee to Green and 40th in Approach – there is no way he should have missed the cut.

Looks like a lot of Presidents Cuppers from the International Team missed the cut along with Bubba – unfortunately I had some of the Bubbai MC’s plus got lucky with a little Xander who barely squeaked through.

Regarding your post about toggling between $5K and $400 – you are going to see wild swings the first 2 days because the position points represent a large percentage of your total fantasy points the first two days then slowly becomes a little less important as players accrue hole by hole fantasy points. I was winning two GPPs yesterday at noon for about $10K and am now winning like $500 but I knew my lineup wasn’t strong as I had 3 guys tied for 1st so each was getting 30 position points that they couldn’t all keep. For 4-day golf, don’t worry about the winning on Thur-Fri, just focus on getting all 6 inside the cut and then the winning will likely increase over the weekend.

Yea no doubt I had 2 Presidents Cup players who all missed the cut in my pool in Im, Niemann, and a third in Conners who was an edge candidate. The only reason I had them is because they were cheap relative to their Presidents Cup status so I’ll admit that. The other Presidents Cup guys did ok though like Hadwin was a cheap pick who made it.

I’m not really as advanced as you guys since I only normally play in the Majors and big tournaments in the past. I tried this week because it was a huge payout structure paying 200k to first and also I’m going to the tournament this Sunday. Thus that’s why my picks may seem kind of simple like just picking Presidents Cup members. I’m sure I’ll get better and more knowledgeable as I play more. I just had to find something else to sweat on the weekends now NFL is over and I don’t play NBA.

I looked at the PGA Tour App for Bubba and scroll down under his scorecard shows his SG data and field rankings

Datagolf.ca also has the data and can be sorted by each SG category by clicking on the heading

GOOD LUCK to everybody who got 6/6 through and/or very strong 5/6 through…. may variance be on your side and the money increase!

Why are the showdown contests tomorrow smaller than today?

Because Weekend Golf has same deadline and money gets spread out between the two formats; Sunday showdowns will be higher again

Datagolf data suggests that DJ looks ready to pop over the weekend

Is Strokes Gained something that’s very relevant in what you guys use?

I noticed all my golfers had terrible Strokes Gained putting. Like Hideki, Xander, Im, and Conners had very bad putting stats.

However isn’t putting part of the game too? Why is it if putting is bad it’s more bad luck?

I do feel like these greens were unplayable at certain times given so many misses though. Is that where the luck comes in?
