He 5-putted the par 5 for a Triple Bogey 8

It’s weird, out of all the type of players, thought he wouldn’t do that but guess it happens to the best of us.

Like Adam Scott or Tony Finau would be better candidates haha.

Also one thing that’s surprised me about Morikawa on this course is he’s got surprising length which can improve if he gets stronger with age.

When he first came on the tour, I was thinking like Kevin Kisner ceiling (which is not bad, given Kisner has won multiple events and compete in Majors), but he actually might have Kevin Kisner floor and a longer version of Webb Simpson ceiling (which is really good given Webb has won the US Open and Players).

I know he has still never missed a cut in his career yet.

Does anyone know the record for most non-MCs to start a career? Also no idea if he qualified for WGC Mexico, those rules are confusing. But he’s right at the top 50 in the world, so he has a shot I guess.

But @Bif, I would still choose Viktor Hovland over him at the Masters if they were the same price.

Morikawa not in Mexico as the cut off was last week or week before for the Top 50 OWGR.

Re: Hovland – you won’t have to worry about making that decision as Hovland has not and will not qualify for the Masters unless he wins a tourney in the next 6-7 weeks as he is #102 in World rankings. Morikawa is not officially in yet either and needs to stay in the Top 50 in World ranking until the week before The Masters to get in – his win last summer in Reno was not a full-FedEx points event (as it was an alternate field event) so it didn’t get him the auto invitation for winning a Tour event.

Hi all, I’m new here and I wanted to say how much I enjoyed reading the forum this weekend.

I got hooked on dfs golf last year until I got absolutely slaughtered in the no cut events during the playoffs. Got back on the train a couple weeks ago and won the mini max today for my first ever gpp score. Safe to say im hooked all over again.

Oh don’t worry just wait a few months and you’ll see. He can only move up too since he doesn’t lose points from 2 years ago.

I wanted Collin in Mexico lol, thought that would be a nice course for him with the altitude.

I’m sure Bryson is looking forward to doing some physics for calculating the distance….err I mean damanging the greens..although his form has gotten better lately.

Wow, not a great week for me. I had 10 6/6’s, out of 20 total lineups, but failed to do much with them. WTF! My main core of Tiger/Xander/Homa didn’t do much. Had some Gooch, Lee, Kuch, Brown, Rory, but no Scott at all. I liked him to start the week too (dumb). I was $2500 in, $2100 back. Pretty typical DFS results lol.

My Showdown’s yesterday did pretty well so I ended Sunday on a good note fortunately. 2/4 in Showdown’s, +480 yesterday.

Tiger’s play was atrocious on the weekend. Rory’s Sunday collapse wasn’t really shocking to me, he does that often. I really liked what I seen out of Bryson. He’ll be my guy this week. As for Kuch and Scott, the ole boys showing these youngsters what’s up. CH prevails again.

    Off to next week…

That’s awesome! Congrats, man. That is no easy feat.

Morikawa has actually qualified for the WGC Mexico, according to Rob Bolton.

Oh ok, the inside the field thing I saw showed a date for Top 50 as of last week but maybe that was just a point in time and of someone move in this week, then they’d get in too.
