That is all. Can not wait for Boogie revenge games.

Boogie will be a great stat hound. Boogie will never ever ever ever win a championship. Ever.

I think Karl is trying to win.

  • kalcashmoney

    Clarkson, Kobe, Wade, Davis, Cousins

That would be a pretty sick starting 5

My thoughts exactly. Plus if the three teamer happens I don’t think Vuce would much of a downgrade, if at all.

Now, if he really tries to get Rondo that would be hilarious. I am still glad Houston never tried to acquire him.

That is a terrible statement IMO. He has played on a horrible team his whole career and has still had many games with 10+ assists. He has played with Rudy Gay for 3 years and somehow still didn’t end up knocking his head off as many would

Not gonna happen. Typical rumor mill stuff on the lead up. It’s not even close to being a fair trade and Vlade knows the value of a big man.

Completely disagree with this. Boogie is the best player on a horrendous team with no depth, and he happens to put forth more effort than anyone on that team. If this guy is on a good team, there is no reason why he cannot win a championship.

This has got Lakers written all over it.

Boogie will win at least one title. How can you call him a stat hound? He was a defensive force and passes EXTREMELY well.

Valid point. Dude is a triple double threat every time he touches the floor. Just because someone racks up stats and plays emotionally, doesn’t make him a stat hound.

  • dfrandan

The latest I’m seeing is Karl wants Faried and Lawson for Boogie. Yikes!

This is draft week, so the rumor mill is in full effect, but as a Kings fan, the thought of losing boogie scares me. Losing him will set us back, so I don’t see that happening with the new arena on the horizon. In Vlade I Trust.

  • FrancisBooth

Oscar Robertson averaged a trip dub in a season and wasn’t that far off for his career. He did win approximately one title so I guess Boogie winning one isn’t completely crazy. I personally don’t see it happening in Sacto though.

I hope this is not ANTHONY Davis. Ed Davis, maybe. Baron Davis is more realistic. Geena Davis is slightly more realistic.

She played a hell of a good catcher though.

Assclown is assclown. Sacramento continues to be Sacramento. They draft the best Center in the NBA in that draft and give him up to keep Boogie instead. They bring in a coach who knows what it takes to win. A coach who looks at the heart of his most talented player and sees a lack of it. He sees Boogie is unable to win a ring. He sees Iverson’s heart pumping in boogies body.

There are just certain players who don’t have the heart and determination to win championships. Dwight Howard. Zachary Randolph. Kevin Love. Amien Lillar. Carmelo Anthony. Allen Iverson. The list goes on. Karl made the playoffs 22 times and missed it 4 times, 2 of those being seasons he didn’t coach the whole time. He knows what it takes and the first step is getting rid of cancer, which Karl knows about too.

Boogie is the second most talented center in the NBA. If I’m building a team, he doesn’t get on it. Not if guys like Biyombo, Cole Aldrich, and Bryant Reeves are available. Give me one of those over Boogie.

Boogie will never ever win a title. Winning a title requires making your team better around you. Magic, Bird, Duncan, Jordan, James, all these guys can do that. I believe Westbrook is learning to do that. I believe Harden has done it. Dirk did it. Curry does it. Olajuwon did it.

Boogie could learn to do it eventually. Barkley did, but it took him forever. Boogie is what Barkley was starting out. I have no faith in assclown learning how to lead.

  • digglahhh

This is probably true. It is also true for almost every All Star level player or better. At any time in the league, there are probably no more than 5 or 6 players who are good enough to be the best player on a championship level team, minus the occasional outlier.

I know what you are getting at, but I don’t think that is a fair way of looking at it. The Kings aren’t a 54-win team tinkering to get themselves over the top. They are quite far away from competing in a loaded conference. You must crawl before you walk (before you run), and without Cousins they aren’t even crawling.

I don’t think that starting line-up makes the playoffs in a loaded West. (It’s possible they could finish below .500).

Wade plays 55 games, and no back to backs, if you’re lucky.

Kobe shoots 25+ times, eating up tons of possessions that should be run through Cousins. (Cousins potentially murders Kobe, which would be pretty cool because it would put the “he never made his team better” criticisms to bed.) …Or, he just gets hurt.

Kobe also dominates the ball, essentially neutering most of what Clarkson could provide, while stunting his development in the process.

Cousins is a good, but not great, defender when engaged and motivated. Wade is savvy, but can;t turn up the D for anything but very short bursts at this point in his career. The rest of the team ranges from below average to veritable turnstile.

How about they trade Karl back to Denver instead

No doubt, sounds like he wants to get the band back together.

ESPN saying that Memphis is now trading Ridnour to Charlotte for Matt Barnes, I didn’t understand what the Grizzlies needed with Ridnour anyway, I would rather have Barnes, but arrrggghhh I hate Barnes’ style of play, I don’t understand how he doesn’t sit out half of the seasons for flagrants, with the Grizzlies’ luck he’ll probably get his just dues this year.

I can say I watch more basketball then most and that includes staying up late on the east coast to watch pointless Kings/Twolves games and I just don’t agree with you at all that Boogie can’t be on a championship team. He plays his absolute heart out and hates losing.

Also in regards to Karl, yes he’s a great coach but the knock on him his entire coaching career is he doesn’t know what he’s doing in regards to running a team. He’s proved that when given more power he doesn’t also know what to do. Also apparently Karl told the Kings when hired he wouldn’t involve himself in personnel decisions so for him to already be trying to do something huge like this in his first offseason with the team isn’t exactly a good look.

Cousins is just a step down from AD who I think is the best player in the league not named Lebron and trading a young talent like that doesn’t usually end up well. If they could surround him with some players they could very easily be a team. In order to trade a talent like this you need to be getting an absolutely amazing return. Clarkson/Randle/#2 pick is interesting but I don’t see the Lakers parting with all of that.

  • AntFer

G Karl is such a douche. he has never liked any star players. He clashed w/ Shaun Kemp and Gary Payton on the Sonics then Melo on the Nuggets and now Cousins on the Kings. Karl wants to b the star of any team he coaches.. Fire Karl and move on..

  • FrancisBooth

They are already considering firing George Karl haha this is going to be a fun offseason for Sacto.
