Fanduel’s entire MLB slate yesterday should be refunded to those who lost. The Arizona SF game had a scheduled start time of 10:15PM est on their slate. The actual 1st pitch was 10:10PM est and the first 3 ARI batters already got out before that game was locked. I was able to switch out my C/1b and util spot with Posey and Mccutch after I saw my batters went 0-2 in that top of the inning.

See box score start time at the bottom of the page here:

Not sure how many people took advantage of the error and switch out say a highly owned Goldy, especially after seeing his first out.

    They are telling the truth.
I tried to make some changes to my lineups around 10.13 and I got a generic error message.

How is that possible when DK admitted in their email above that they incorrectly allowed late swaps within the 5 minute window between 10:00 pm and 10:15?

“Yesterday (6/4/18), our official stats provider sent us an incorrect start time of 10:15 pm EST for the Diamondbacks vs Giants game. This resulted in us incorrectly allowing late swaps involving this game to existing entries for a period of 5 minutes.

How can we be sure that they’re telling the truth? Did anyone here who took advantage get their entries refunded?

Also, when did they notice this issue? If they just noticed this morning, then people who took advantage and cashed could have withdrawn their winnings. So for anyone who cashed either the main slate or late slate last night, when did you get credited with your winnings?

We hope this post provides full insight into what occurred last night to insure the integrity of the game.

    1. Prior to 11:00PM all lineups that were edited after the 10:10 game start were determined and then invalidated.
    2. Shortly thereafter our first emails were issued to the affected players that provided notification of an invalidated lineup. We can assure you that all invalidated lineups were proactively credited.

The email template we used is quoted below.

“Last night (6/4/18), our official stats provider sent us an incorrect start time of 10:15pm EST for the Diamondbacks vs Giants game. This resulted in us incorrectly allowing late swaps involving this game to existing entries for a period of 5 minutes.
As game integrity is of paramount concern to us at DraftKings, we’ve immediately taken action to remedy the issue and ensure integrity of the games today is of the highest standard.

Any contest entries that made late swaps between 10:10pm EST and 10:15pm EST involving this Diamondbacks vs. Giants game have been voided, and entry fees for those entries have been refunded to the player who made the late swap.

We will always keep the integrity of our contests at the highest standard in the industry. We will be working closely with our official stats provider to ensure this issue does not occur again in the future.

Please let us know if you have any questions.”

    @ Beetlebum –

    They are telling the truth.

Thank you for confirming Beetlebum, we are positive that we addressed this problem in a quick and fair manner to assure the integrity of the game is maintained. We appreciate your support!

I wonder who would be more annoying to be around for a day. Sochoice is a smart ass know it all who overcompensates for his lack of success in this game. Nymjib is a constant whiner who always wants something for free and pesters the hell out the companies until they give him a freebie to go away. It’s a coin flip.

I’m sorry do I know you?

    Ask yourself this question.

Is there a running pool on when nymjib will ask for something for free? I’m not aware of one, which instantly answers your question.

Hey guys, Nik here. Due to our stats provider reporting an incorrect start time of the ARI vs. SF game last tonight (10:15 pm ET instead of 10:10 pm ET), users could edit lineups with players from ARI vs. SF even though the game had already started.

We will be paying out those users who would have won had those edits not been made. We will also be offering a freeroll for all users from all four affected slates.

Relative to the product suggestions, I think they’re on the right track and we’ll dig into it as soon we can. Any other questions, feel free to email me: nik.bonaddio@fanduel.com

    Thanks!

Why is there no checks and balances from FD here?

Why just squarely put the blame on your “STATS PROVIDER?”

It’s not like MLB.com or any # of various sites across the world wide web doesn’t have the correct start time(s) for games…..

P.S. — The same goes to DK as well since they also can’t bother to have anyone “in-house” provide quality checks on start times….

I’m sure some people will seek refunds and others who aren’t complete cheapskates and have some integrity in their lineup construction and how they play DFS won’t.

Incredible how Sochoice is consistently the worst person in these threads.

Was a great catch by OP and FD seems to agree that it was a significant issue. I don’t understand how someone like Sochoice can be all over these forums and yet be so negative all the time. Just the worst.

Being able to swap out your players after their first ABs while seeing the opposing pitcher’s stuff is a massive deal when people play with significant money.

FD denied this for quite a while. It was pretty aggravating. Took 4 different tries with support for them to admit error on their part when I was reaching out to them. Thanks everyone for following up with them, or I’m sure it would have gone unnoticed for even longer.

madmanjayWV – We took action as soon as the game started, and the start time information provided by our stats provider was found to be incorrect. This time frame met our goal of a seamless process that does not interfere with the game experience. We have people whose in-house job is to monitor situations such as this; that is why we were able to address the problem, solve it, invalidate non-compliant entries, and notify the affected players within a very short time frame.
