Now that FanDuel has had a golf product for a decent amount of time:

What have people enjoyed more, DraftKings or FanDuel for Golf?

  • CUTiger81

The FD golf product has been and continues to be atrocious. I throw together a small script on FD at small stakes since I’m putting the work in already but I don’t really care what the results are b/c it’s such a fluke product having 8 golfers and the pricing being terrible

  • whodat2

Love them both, but yes FD pricing is really loose which leads to some super high owned percentages. Still, I like the 8 golfers format. For anyone who hasn’t given DFS golf a try, you should once the new year starts. It’s hella fun.

Much prefer DK right now. Sharper pricing and (significantly) bigger GPPs.

Never played FD golf product since NY is still banned for Golf and Soccer but DK golf product is right up there with NBA as far as GPP tournaments.

Not to change the topic but DK has a great opportunity with golf this year. IF and that’s a big IF, IF they play there cards correct they could have huge benefits from the Tiger effect. FD reported a 22% increase in golf due to Tiger playing at the Hero. This could lead to some huge gpp’s IF they size there tournaments properly. Golf really took off last year and they could easily have multiple 500k weekly gpp’s if not more if they take advantage of the players they will receive due to gaining them from Tiger.

As far as FD, agree with everyone so far. The pricing they use makes the game no fun as all the great plays become very chalky, 40% plus owned. Rarely do you see a golfer 40% on DK and IF over 30% that is high. In addition you don’t know what the 8/8 is on FD. Many people think it’s lower than DK because you have to get eight thru but I think it’s higher due to the increased ownerships on the better plays.

Overall golf is great, ultimate sweat and is still a DFS contest that the casual player can have advantages due to cuts.

DK hands down because being from the UK I dont think FD let me play :-)

DK hands down, Its not the golf product its the site set up, views, ease of use and finding information. To me it seems it is impossible to tell if they are on the up and up or not. If I dont have access to any information then I question why not. Feeling deprived, I wonder if its a conspiracy.
Maybe I dont know how to use the site??

I would disagree on DK being the better salary structure over FanDuel. DraftKings seems to experiment with pricing a little too much. FanDuel is more consistent: but, also easier to put in a bunch of good players. The best site is probably FantasyDraft. I love the 7 man team selection where low score is dropped. There is a big emphasis on getting 6 through the cut. They have the sharpest pricing IMO of the three sites.

DraftKings has the best contest selection; FanDuel probably best for the beginner: FantasyDraft best overall.

    1. DK
    2a. FantasyDraft
    2b. FanDuel
    3. DRAFT

Each has their own pros and cons, I would suggest trying them out either in their free or micro games and see which you like the best
