Because the likes of Scneiderman can’t afford to waste their time trying to shut down a mom and pop shop like Aces. If Aces was running ads on TV and had prize pools in the hundreds of thousands of a dollars then they would have been shut down by now.
This whole process was a big PR/Political move by Schneiderman. You don’t get PR by shutting down Aces.

Lmao at the mom and pop shop analogy. They are illegal now and can take your money and you won’t be able to get it back because they can say they were illegal. I’m not saying that’s what they will do, but don’t be naive and think it’s not a possibility. Draftkings had to bailout one before with the bs they put us through, so be careful.

Honestly I’m not sure how Aces is even legally operating in NY at this point… And I’m not sure how they could continue to operate going forward. Love them, love that we can play, but they aren’t licensed or anything…

Yea I was gonna write the same thing on here last night but thought I would get some flack lol. I deposited 5 bucks there last week on a day where I was too lazy to go to NJ. Didn’t make anything and I’m not depositing there again. You undermine your legitimacy as a Dfs company when you value profits over the freakin law. Lol, good luck to those who continue to play.

Also, I’m not mad anymore at Schneiderman. I’m a lifelong far left democrat and I did have reservations about my party affiliation after seeing how he really tried to attack the DFS companies. In hindsight though, DK and FD made stupid mistakes and he saw reason to prosecute them. In the end though, he made the right decision and its up to DK and FD to submit valid paperwork.

One final point regarding fantasy aces. There was a situation earlier in the MLB season where I literally stacked a whole lineup of Rockies either on the website or app. Later on, in June and July I was trying to do the same with another team but was alerted of a 5 man stack limit. I asked fantasy aces about the rule and they told me there was a glitch that allowed stack limit to be circumvented.

    Yikes.

Dude don’t mention this guys name please. I’m still mad at him. He DID not do the right thing. He could have handle the situation the way some ags handled it. He went to the extreme with this shiit. He was being a dick looking for the limelight plain and simple. He could have potentially damage DFS for years. I will not forget the stunt he pulled

Here is the exchange. They never replied to my last question.

Really the lawsuit was targeting fd n dk only, yahoo joined voluntary after credit companies stop processing payments involving dfs in NY which doesn’t hurt aces since they only do PayPal or checks.

    Never Schneiderman!

  • KindGuy

You guys really think just because a company isn’t mentioned specifically, that it doesn’t apply to them? C’mon guys…..

  • seth1122

can we get back on topic- DK back in NY

  • tyrique0730

depends on the law you also cant expect fantasy aces to also pay the same amount of taxes as fd and dk they would be out of business quick.

Are u serious? Dude coumo just signed the DFS bill into law! All companies must go through the gaming commission now to operate in NY. That loophole is closed!

So basically u are saying they should operate illegally then? I think u should go read the DFS bill. There are thresholds in place for DFS companies.

  • tyrique0730

Did you read the settlement NY DFS wasnt ban as a whole it was directed towards fd and dk but if you have something to show me im wrong please provide it and as far as the gaming commision thats new and aces still wouldnt pay the same taxes as fd n dk

At this time there is no time table for a return. We will update all NY users when they can play again! Thank you for your patience.

Dude that is over and done with. DFS law IS now in place, so they CANNOT operate whatsoever in NY state without a temp permit from the gaming commission. This is the period we are in now. Again, that loophole is closed!

what exactly do you want them to say. “we messed up with our application, we are working on a resubmit we will be up soon.”

  • FrancisBooth

Dean Murray said on twitter just over a week ago we wouldn’t miss any regular season NFL games. As long as that holds true, I will be happy. I already plan on bussing it to erie or nj if need be though.

  • tyrique0730

@chuky I’m sure they are applying or already did the permit but once again NY dfs was never ban all together hell even FD had NY players playing for free before Cuomo signed the bill.

That’s for free. ALL companies paid entry contest should not be operating in NY now without a permit. Dude they cannot do what u think they are doing by allowing play while filing (if they are) an application. Go check out the bill my friend. You keep on saying NY DFS was not ban all together. That time has PASSED! The DFS law state that no one can operate NOW without a permit.

  • tyrique0730

Lol dude you are not listening why are you assuming they don’t have a permit all the news we are hearing about mix ups n incomplete info comes from dk n fd and aces is also a public company with a lot of money with investors they have a lot of the regulations in place that’s why they never shut down, aces not a shady site that appear out of nowhere.Your applying FD and dk situation with every site which isn’t the case.

Well this is sort of true.

The big difference now is that there is a law that defines who can operate in NY and how. It requires licensure. Aces doesn’t have that.

Previously we were just dealing with a gray area.

Regarding red flags and your money disappearing: I am not worried about that. Aces is a reputable shop that is publicly traded. I wouldn’t keep tens of thousands of dollars on there, but your money is safe IMO.

    @DavidPurdum

N.Y. Gaming Commission says “temporary (fantasy sqports) permits for several entities are close to being issued. Ten companies have applied.
