I’m new to Draft, and just entered a head to head NBA contest. On a night like tonight, there is only one stud playing, Giannis Antetokounmpo. I’m my opinion, whoever gets to choose first has a huge advantage by picking him and basically makes the head to head format unplayable.

Not only that, I have an issue with the draft order. It currently goes 1,2,2,1,1,2,2,1,1,2. This means that whoever has to pick second also gets the very last pick. I think that whoever gets the advantage of picking first should at least have to pick last as well. A much better order would be 1,2,2,1,1,2,2, 1,2,1 imo.

    Am I wrong here?

Any snake draft format with odd number rounds is inherently unfair.

There was a forum about this a couple of months ago stating that they should have an even amount of rounds. For the part when the slate only has 1 superstar player I would probably just avoid playing those nights.

Yes I’ve emailed them numerous times arguing that an odd number of rounds makes their site all about luck instead of skill. They claim they are considering changing

I find Draft to be much more fair than Fanduel where I’m forced to H2H against asshole sharks. I don’t think the pick order is really that unfair. Sure, they can nail Greek first, but you can get the next two picks and can grab more high projection players before they have their 2nd pick. I tend to win more when I get those two picks together than getting first pick.

Ya i understand how they draft works and it’s patently unfair. 1st pick has a huge advantage as long as there are odd number of rounds. It’s simple math like grade 2-3 level math

point of this guys thread was that if you didnt get the first pick you automatically lost on the nights where only one stud was playing. that’s just simply false

No one said you automatically lost by not getting the first pick they have just stated that your at a disadvantage. Automatically losing and being at a disadvantage are two very different things. Of course you can always win with the 2nd pick in a head to head but on nights with only one stud you are at a disadvantage but if you nail your picks you can always have a chance to overcome it.
