A player in your lineup that did absolutely nothing or was a late scratch?

  • tarheel66

Yes, i believe I seen a post on here from someone who had a baseball player scratch but the rest of his lineup went buck wild

    What sport?

Baseball it happens all the time.

When I started NBA in 2015 it happened all the time. Especially in short slates. Man I wish I knew then what I knew now!

My highest score ever of 71 had a very expensive player who got no points. I was 3rd and 1.5 pts away from first. So yeah they cost me what would have been my first ever GPP takedown.(nhl).

Man that’s a tough one to get over

I’ve cashed a ton in baseball with a player getting 0. A few times in NFL and basketball but that is rare.

Definitely possible in hockey as well. For NBA, you usually need all your guys to go over or at least meet their projection.

I used to put players on the DL on my roster, Just to give people a chance to win

The guy who won the DK Football world championship last year had -0.2 from one of his players. Even worse than a late scratch and he won $2 million.

That was pretty crazy, but not a big tournament at all. (# of entries wise obviously)

It does happen a lot in baseball. The only way I have seen it happen in NBA is on a short slate and a player with massive ownership gets hurt early or scratches late .

Not true really. I saw a guy play a minimum priced player who put up like 5 points but he had the top scorers at every other position. He could have won with a 0.

Didn’t someone win the milli with a player with zero in their lineup last year?

There was a guy early last season that finished 3rd or 4th in the Milly Maker with a zero from Austin Sefarian Jenkins who had been cut the Tuesday before the game. There were about 20 other TEs that weekend that he could have used that scored enough fantasy points for him to win.

A big tourney? I don’t think that’s possible in the NBA or NFL. A smaller higher stakes one? I guess so. But preferably you don’t want a score close to 0 from any of your players.

  • Tabasc0

When I first started playing a couple years ago I remember someone winning an NBA tourney with either two or three guys getting zeros. It’s kind of fuzzy because it’s been awhile, but I’m pretty sure he had 3 zeros. He definitely had at least two.

That was back when I used to actually win sometimes. Times have changed.

  • Warmtakes

someone took down a few tourneys (same slate) with like a -9 or something from one of his pitchers (DK) but his bats got him over 200.

  • moped_jones

I had a 285 pt LU on FD NBA with Boogie, Gay, and Covington getting DNP’s b/c the court had water on it.

I can’t remember if I cashed or not, but with an additional 100-120 pts from those 3 that could have been my highest scoring LU ever.
