    When: Nov 30 – Dec 3

Where: The Bahamas (Eastern Time Zone)

Course: A par 72 playing at around 7400 yards

Notice: Only 18 golfers for this event. While no fun for DFS, an interesting event to follow. 17 of the world’s best golfers, plus the return of Tiger Woods.

Admin Note: The mod team is working to keep these daily threads more on topic – Golf strategy talk for this week’s contest. Post referring to last week’s contest will be moved to the correct thread. Any off topic posts or posts containing full lineups will be deleted..

Yes, I agree with that. It’s very tempting to take him, or multiples of the bottom three, in order to use a bunch of top guys. One of either Chappell, Noren, or Hoffman is going to go off and have a great tournament, and one of them will be at the bottom with Tiger.

i cant bring myself to make a Happy Meal or Pig for this event.

I Like Jimmy Golfs Gimmick contest more than the 18 player field.

Give me all the Harold Varnier III. LOL havnt seen the salary yet but it must be obnoxiously hi an exceed those 6500 I remember not so long ago.

Do you love him at 9200, though?

I am already all over the Jimmy Golf’s under 8K contest as well.

I’m working on my Over the Pond blog post and to preview it, I’m thinking of a bit of a different LU strategy this week than usual.

Without salary constraints, 18C6 = 18,564 possible teams! Randomly picking a team gives you 1/18,564 chance of winning, and in a 135 man tournament it is something like 1/5,000,000,000. Is this good or bad?

  • JimKronlund

Good grief Jimmy, did that really need to be the name you picked for the contest. smh

  • timusbr

Hey JK, that Arnie Tribute contest is usualy filled by the same 3, You, Reeb, and td33dzul.

How you 3 fairing, I admit I seldom look to see final results

Yes I can Love HV3, I can pick 1 higher salary and I have a bunch of fill ins. What I thought would be a 1 LU week looks like I will max enter the quarter.

I did some extensive searching of Aussie golfers and order of merit leaders for the Fiji Open. I think I will just use those players from Australia The question who should I use as the lead salary?

    Fade Sergio
    Use Leishman??
    Use Scott??
How about Ormsby, He is the Hottest golfer I think

The only real question is: Who will be the one big loser to avoid all together?

I am going out on a limb and guessing, those that are so -so vs others and have not played much since last season…

I think tiger could score more points than molinari, even though he had 4 back surgeries and hasn’t played in a year.

Honestly not sure. I would guess close to 33%.
I do not know of a way to look back on only that contest.
Edit: There is a way. I can group them in league. I am adding it up now.

I did it twice but there was 6 contest that would not show results. It went to Lobby page instead for some reason.
From what I did see was Reeb & td33dzul with 6 wins and I had 5 wins. Missing outcomes from 6 contests.
I am probably very close to 33% group average.

Judging from Tigers pts from last year and what we have heard about him this year, at a price of $6500.
No matter your opinion of him, at the very least you better seriously consider having him in some teams if playing multi lu GPP.
I would go as far to say cash as well. He is still Tiger Woods after all. The greatest player of our generation.
Even though he is far removed from that accolade.
My money is on him being in the winning Lu’s. JM(strong)O in this contest.
Edit: Not 100% but 50% for me. My biggest question is Thomas or Fowler. I’m leaning on Fowler.
There are going to be super crazy with so many dup teams.

Agree on Tiger, I feel more comfy taking him in a no cut, home course event than a regular event at this point. If he can get off the tee in good shape and hit good approach shots he should do well. He is probably still a better putter than 75% of the current players and better than 50% around the green even with all his injuries and lack of play. I ended up 50% on him and went 100% on three players, two of who you mentioned….hoping Tiger does well as it will be great for golf in general as well as DFS. I think he knows this is his last shot at a comeback and is going on all in with the prep. He has been at this course playing on and off over the last three weeks. No doubt he has the most incentive of all players teeing it up on Thursday.

I praise tiger woods enough here, so I believe I’m obliged to put my money where my mouth is for both GPP and cash.

I am clueless on this euro event. free money for everyone else in the happy meal!

The real question is…What’s Tigers girl situation right now because if he is out dogging it he will be in top form! The best therapy for what ails you.
