I have $900 leftover from the NFL this year. Would I have a better chance dropping it into PGA or NBA Tournaments? One big ass blowout!! Thanks 🙏 for any responses.

    NBA is very difficult.

  • mes21

Pga nhl or nascar are much easier to pick up.

  • mtdurham

You’ll lose it for certain if you try NBA…. NBA is difficult anyway and coming in this late in the season you’ll never get the hang of it…

I dont have any experience with NASCAR so i cant speak to it… NHL is very difficult to get the hang of if you aren’t a hockey fan… lineup construction and such is a bit of a pain…

PGA is very easy to pick up…and its the most fun DFS sport by far IMO…plus it lasts like all year and it’s just going into it’s best part of the season and biggest prize pools…. i would def vote for that…..

Absolutely anyone can win in PGA… that’s not to say there is no skill but there is enough variance and randomness that someone brand new could absolutely win the $1 million the first week they played…

Thats never gonna happen in NBA youll get thrashed… with the possible exception of NBA showdown in the playoffs…but even there you’ll prob just get thrashed

    Thanks, everyone.

Even MMA you can win its a hard to predict but its doable. Just watch the tape of some of the fighters do some study on them. On NBA its very hard i got destoryed a few times before.

Go with the sport you like most. All week long I heard about how beatable Nascar can be. Started doing research and wasn’t really into it. Don’t just throw your hard earned cash into something. If you like golf more than basketball experiment with golf or vice versa and same applies to hockey. I’ve played all 3 and the learning curve for me was NBA easier, NHL 2nd, PGA 3rd. However that is also how I would rank them in terms of my own interest. All of the DFS games are beatable. You just have to love learning them more than you hate losing to overcome the losses and breakthrough to becoming a winning player. The smartest thing you can do is start out at the smallest possible stakes while you’re learning. Most people don’t and won’t breakthrough because they don’t take time to learn at the lowest levels. They just want to chase the 4-6 figure scores which are fun but not the most optimal way to learn.

Completely agree, which is why I basically only play NBA now. It’s the only sport I like enough that doing research doesn’t feel like a chore.

Step 1, buy Stevie’s nascar package weekly
Step 2, Invest $150 into 6 Races. 15 GPP entries
    Step 3, Profit

  • monarch

NBA is very difficult this time of the year. Everyone knows the rules by now. You would have to either strictly play single entry contests or risk a good portion of your BR each night because MME guys are claiming all of the spots up top to have a chance at even breaking even.

I have been putting around 300 dollars of my BR a night into NBA just to have a shot at cashing in the top heavy GPPs. A rogue lineup or two in a big tournament is a donation right about now.

i’m a bit jaded but have always thought nba to be the easiest. golf sucks because of the cut, mlb sucks because bryce harper might be the most expensive player and go 0-6, ditto for nfl and antonio brown going 2 catches/16yds. at least in the nba you know for certain that lebron james is going to get you 35pts minimum every single night. does that make the game more competitive in dfs? absolutely, but at least every player has a relatively established floor.

nascar is fun actually, but wrecks will ruin your lineup and they are 100% impossible to predict. i do agree if you don’t like the sport then it makes it a chore to read about and research, and generally speaking that affects your success rate as well.

NBA and PGA is the most predictable

I have heard this line for years and I feel kind of 50/50 on that statement.

I think it is more predictable but good luck on figuring out the night your studs are the one’s going off for 60-80 points. I am not a big fan of the NBA though which also doesn’t help. I’ll just stick to NFL and MLB and hope my positive ROI from this NFL season can continue to grow this summer.

  • pinstripeblue

NBA is easier to research but nowadays you cant play it “safe” anymore, meaning you cant make a “cash” lineup…..you almost have to throw some darts even in 50/50’s..the other night i scored 335 and finished 78th in a 10 team 50/50….its brutal if you are trying to scratch out a small profit every night..

Agree with Jimmy, at this point hone in your MLB process and attack the first week when lots of big contests will be rolled out

  • monarch

PGA….find three or four dudes for the Players that you just know will make the cut and go crazy building around them. You will get some of that back whereas in NBA there is a good chance you get shut out on any given night.
