Anyone have any thoughts on Hahn, Campos, or Trahan… seems like they could be sneaky cheap plays with good stats for this tournament, but having a hard time putting them in my lineups.

Hahn looked pretty good last week, minus a couple holes, he made my lines, and campos just off course history. Not much to say about Trahan

Not a complete idiot but maybe like 72% of one. I think with a single entry that’s a pretty high risk play but if you’re ok with whiffing for a shot at a bigger payout when you’re right then go for it. I will say Perez was a much better play last week on a shorter course that had more wedges and was a more familiar grass type for him as he seems to putt better on the cool weather grasses POA & Bent

Fair enough. I had Henley but sometimes I tend to tinker last second just to “be different” but hard to ignore Henley CH.

I know, I was disappointed when I saw his post. I’m just too stubborn to drop down to 0 lol

I’d love to see him play well – I knew last week was a write-off as it was a birdie fest and his balky putter just doesn’t allow him to compete in those.

This week will have almost as many birdies but also some bogies and doubles mixed in so he should have a puncher’s chance if he can limit the bogies and others.

Also it should be noted that DeLaet does not have his old caddie anymore – from the time he joined the PGA Tour, he had Julien (Jules) Trudeau caddying for him – Jules started caddying for Adam Long last season and apparently is staying with Long so DeLaet went to the “bullpen” and pulled a long time friend Ryan Smith. I have no idea what his golf background is/was. His former caddie Jules was a pro and actually competed on Golf Channel’s Big Break and he met his wife on that show (Mallory Blackwelder) who coincidentally is the daughter of a long-time Tour caddie.

In trying to find some info on DeLaet’s caddie, I came across this article about DeLaet (and Roger Sloan). Some interesting info on Sloan in the link for those that can read 😂 no freebies, you’ll have to read the short article.

You know I felt the same way. What I did is trust my instincts and faded him thinking he is a trap. 144 golfers, If you dont find anyone to replace him then go for it. I think you can find someone else.

I can definitely find someone else. The question is what can I live with more when it doesn’t work out. He’s in my lineup now, so I’m thinking I should ride with him. He does make sense from an ownership perspective.

I am gonna assume from your post that I’m not the only one with double molinari lineups.

    Winner: Munoz
    Fade: Sheffler
    Sleeper: DeLaet haha

  • BIF

Winner – Berger nips Jhonny Vegas

Fade – Harman & Champ from the top salaries are my fades and I’m also fading Lanto – just can’t wrap my head around him being chalky and as long as he doesn’t finish in Top 10 I’m good fading.

Sleepers – local boy Stefani and going to keep playing a couple KornFerry grads: Taylor, McCumber and Shelton

I’ve been debating where Lanto would have to finish for it be a good fade…you think 11th, really? I was thinking more in the 20s on the low end😬

    Winner: Gay
    Fade: Tringale
Sleeper: Mahan makes the cut. Throwing Merrick in one since we went to HS and college together. He does have 1 career victory

Well it’s not an exact science but I’m just thinking that the Top 10 finishers typically have the Top 10 fantasy points five or take 1 spot as the finishing position points weigh in heavily – after that the next 15-20 guys are pretty bunched in fantasy points so if he finishes 15th or 25th it is not much different unless someone is making some eagles or trading an abnormal number of birdie-bogey holes.

A top 10 hurts you if you fade the 22nd highest salary unless the guys you played instead that are around him in salary all finish ahead of him.

As a side note, it’s his 5th week in a row like a few other guys in the field but he made the cut in all of them and has been in more of a pressure cooker with higher finishes so his risk of fatigue is higher than almost anyone else in the field.

Fun fact on Lanto is that he went to and played college golf at VCU along with Rafael Campos and the two of them were roommates.

So, there’s too much talk about Lanto for my liking, so I decided to tweak my lineup and exclude him.

    Winner: Stenson
    Sleeper: Ghim
Super sleeper: Hammer (I just couldn’t not play that guy)

One thing you should know Boss, BIF has been a Delaet fan for a long time. I thought about it but Bif said none for him and if anyone has a pulse on Delaet its BIF. Did you go thru his shot tracker shot by shot that BIF did? No……I dont go thru shot tracker to look at anyone for a round let alone a tournament. Possible player pool down to 143 after BIF’s post earlier.

i took a stab on him to win at 400/1
