Click on edit contest. Above the lineup is a link named “cancel entry” or “withdraw entry” click on that. I belive you can only cancel a contest prior to 15 minutes before lock. After that you are stuck so you better hurry.

Thanks for the help guys. I got misleading info from their initial customer service response. I’ll share my thoughts after they address my issues.

I asked them how to withdraw, and included the contest number. The contest I was withdrawing from was a filled GPP. Here is the first response

    Hey TJ,

To remove an entry from a registered contest, go to the My Contests page, click on the lineup for a particular contest you have entered and click the withdraw entry tab located in the top right hand corner of the page.

    Please note the following:

Users may unregister from unfilled Head to Head or League contests at any time.

Users may unregister from Guaranteed games until 15 minutes before start time.

Users may NOT unregister from a filled Head to Head contest.

Users may NOT unregister from a filled league games.

Let us know if you have any questions!

So I get that E-mail and look in the right hand corner of the screen — and nothing.

It says nothing in that response about unregistering from full GPP’s, and even clarifies that you can exit a GPP up to 15 minutes before it starts.

Still completely confused, I contacted them again. Another customer service rep was able to remove me from the contest, while also informing me that because the GPP was full, I couldn’t do it myself.

My problem is, why wasn’t this info shared with me in the first e-mail? It goes out of it’s way to explain the rules for a variety of contests, but then has no procedure that allows me to withdraw within those rules by myself.

When I pointed out how unsatisfactory that first answer was, I simply got a boiler plate response. This killed me. I have only been on DK for about a week, and it had been my favorite site so far. After this though, I will not be referring any friends to the site.

    tjabshire,
I apologize that you got incorrect information from our support team regarding unregistration. I’ve synced up with our support team to make sure they are more clear about unregistration responses in the last 15 minutes before game time. It’s never acceptable to receive a response to a support email that does not completely answer all your questions and I’ll do my best to ensure that this does not happen again.

Thanks. I’ve also been informed that they’ll be looking into changes to make withdrawing easier, but in the meantime will be more specific with their support instructions. I think it’s an important feature to improve and am sorry I had to call attention to the issue. I otherwise think your site is great, keep up the good work.

I know how to do it in the site, but I cannot find how to do it in the DK app, can someone helps. Sometimes, I only have access to the app

The ability to cancel entries in full contests is one of the things I like about FanDuel. I can enter all the contests that I plan to play first thing in the morning, but if the day doesn’t go as planned and I can’t research or there is some crazy scratch, I can just cancel (up to 15 minutes before lock) the entries instead of scrambling.

Does anyone know the reasoning behind DK’s policy?

On the Android app, I don’t think you can cancel an entry on DK. You can do it from the mobile site, though. Open the entry and scroll to the bottom of your lineup, there’s a link to cancel.

I just went to try and withdraw from a GPP that I accidentally entered the same lineup in 2x.
The withdraw button is nowhere to be seen.

I’m now seeing this thread and what tjabshire wrote. DK is not being clear about withdrawing from GPPs at all. I’ve been trying to withdraw for the last 20 minutes and tipoff wasn’t until 6 p.m. (i.e. I’ve been trying to withdraw since 5:20 p.m. to no avail).

If the contest is full, you can’t withdraw, regardless of the time.
