I am a novice player who normally plays two or three 11-man double-ups on DK., for $10 each day.
Last year, I was doing very well, winning a little bit, and just enough to make it fun. Then Memorial Day came around, and all of a sudden, I couldn’t cash anything, for weeks, and got cleaned out.
I used to play a lot of poker, and have studied proper money management. This season, I have applied some sound money management strategies, properly varying the amount I wager each night, using a regression system. This year, again, after Memorial Day, I went from averaging around 105 points to 65 points like a switch went off. Pitching is impossible to predict, and I haven’t figured out a way to minimize that risk.
I’m on a streak where I failed to cash a single contest for four days in a row, so I figure some time off is due.
How do you deal with bad losing streaks? This current one that I am in is so deep and dramatic that I am losing interest. Most lineups I can make in the past two weeks get wrecked by one bad inning faster than the time it took to make them.
