I like to see people making money to inspire me to keep trying.. So far sadly I am in the hole about $250-300..

Post how much you’re up and what you do (Cash/GPP)

Post pictures of some winnings if you want to :) I love seeing that stuff.

Also what site do you get your information from? RG,FC,FL ect.

Sorry if this is the wrong section!

I’m switching up my strategy since I’ve been losing a lot on baseball. I usually do $25/day and I put about $18-20 in one lineup that is all cash games and 1 GPP then I make about 5 other lineups and do all GPPs. Now I’m going to do 5 lineups all doing $4 in cash games and $1 in GPPs each. hopefully my luck turns around!

I’ve profited a little over 200k since january 18 this year exclusively in nba gpps with some 3-5 man leagues sprinkled in, which is probably double what I made total in the 3 years prior.

Are you serious, you made $200,000 since January which is double the $100,000 of what you won in the previous 3 years playing only NBA utilizing only chat and articles????

reading some of these success stories is depressing. I’m down almost 3k since last November. :(

Damn I thought I was bad with losing $400 haha

Somewhere between probably down $700 to $1000 since September. It is harder this year than last year.

Correct lol…Except I do play nfl and dabble in mlb, but I’ve never won much in them.

I’m old school in that I just go with my gut rather than any projection system, and just build my lineup directly on the site (1 lineup kinda guy). This is the only site I “use,” but by use I just mean for community in chat, and to read the free articles to see where others are at on the slate. I’ve profited a little over 200k since january 18 this year exclusively in nba gpps with some 3-5 man leagues sprinkled in, which is probably double what I made total in the 3 years prior. Miracles do happen, and you will get better.

Same here. I’ve made over $100K this year playing NBA GPP on Fanduel. I barely start playing NBA in late January when NFL ended. Keep working at it, and you will improve

If you guys have actually made over $100k thats absolutely insane

DK. I traditionally play big GPPs with 1 entry, sometimes 2. I’ve had some moments, finished top 10, probably do better than most people, but have had a terrible run since January. I’ve lost about $800 since September.

Last year I finished in the top 100 twice in huge MLB DK Gpps. So far I’ve been lucky to crack the top 5 percent twice. But week 2 I got hammered. I finally am going to get a min cash tonight.

I’m up $1,284 and change since last July in MLB (when I got a model and really started doing this seriously everyday), playing cash games exclusively. That’s with an average score of 119.71, and an average stake of $121.

I’ve won 62.42% of cash games.

A good percentage of my ROI is being eaten up by $240 in rake, having gone 2-2 in $1060 H2H games before settling on a lower level.

The bulk of my success, oddly, has been at the $50-$530 level, where I’ve won 64% of games for around a 10-percent ROI.

A small sample size statistical anomaly, but I’ve been crushed in $20 games. Despite an average cash game score of 108, I’m -20% ROI in $20 games.

I’m a terrible bankroll manager. I should probably be blanketing the $1-$10 games like every pro and reaping the rewards there. Instead, I’ve grinded out profit the hard way, winning 60-percent against the MaxDalurys ($1850) and KCannons ($1410) of the world.

I should avoid like the plague UnderJones, who has taken $1,565 off of me (only 4 digit loss opponent on my ledger at the moment).

I’m up over like 65k with my biggest win coming from a glorious a day in week 7 of the NFL season. However I started with 350 dollars and kept playing the 1 and 2 dollar gpps for baseball until I won it a couple times. Then I played the big 3 dollar gpps until I won that. This allowed me to have the bankroll to play NFL. I suggest playing small dollar gpps until you win it and you can gradually move up the ladder. There’s no shortcut to getting good at DFS. Don’t rely solely on fantasylabs or rotogrinders they are great sources of information but it is up to you to digest that data and use it strategically. Watching the games is important as well. DFS is hard but if you grind you’ll get your break one day.

Given that the top entry in his profile is getting $100k in a tournament, I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for winning that much money.

“Over 100k” is pretty weird though, implying that he didn’t make that much relative to his biggest score. Either that or people really do mean 100-199k when they say over 100k.

I guess he could technically have made over 900k and still be telling the truth when he said “over 100k”.

And for those that play small and envious of those that play big and sometimes win big…..Tuesday night NBA. Thanks Kyle Korver. Still haven’t slept since then.

I am closer to $107K in profit. I’ve won about $120K in NBA from late January to now, but lost like $12K of it. I won most of that money by playing the big money GPPs, and I still have ways to go to become really good. But to win big, you got to take strategic risk.

To give you an example of a rookie mistake I made a few weeks ago, I failed to stack Damian Lillard with chef Curry, instead chose to play Isaah Thomas who was playing the Lakers. That costed me $50K that night.

I play low stakes GPPs which is definitely not the strategy if you want to pay your bills but it’s fun and the and losses are mild. During NBA I’ll usually play $25 and that’ll be broken up between the $2 shot, $10 dime, $5 assist, and maybe a $10 mini tourney. I only play 1 LU/night, and the advantage to this strategy is when you’re hot, you capitalize big time. I made the bulk of my money (about $1500) in two nights this season where my LU was good enough to win the dime.

If you’re on a cold streak, I would recommend betting small but still practicing. I stunk at NBA until January, and then all of the sudden I got the hang of it, was able to notice trends and how winning LUs were constructed, and was able to average around 310 points/night in February and March.

Like anything, only continue if you’re playing within your means and it brings you joy! I loved NBA as a fun hobby during the winter, but I do not play MLB. I do other things in the summer and will now wait until football.

  • jriprap24

@Hubert115 one tip I can’t recommend enough is while it’s great to hear who the “experts” like, you must trust your opinion above others. There were many times early in the NBA season where I loved a play, yet couldn’t find any chatter about that player, and wound up not playing him, only to watch him have a great game that night.

If you notice something, or just sense something, go with it. Most of the expert commentary is centered around players who are safe plays and while you’ll usually construct a decent LU with all expert picks, it’ll rarely be the LU with the x-factor you need to win a tournament.

Wait so you only use 1 lineup throughout all the tournaments?

@Hubert115 I have found most of my success in survivor tournaments. Two of my 3 biggest days in DFS were $650 (NFL) and $850 (MLB) survivor tournaments with the other one being a first place finish ($1,000) in a $1 GPP (MLB) on draftkings last year. I played 25 entries in the FanDuel survivor tournament that started last week and grinded all 25 to the money and last night moved 7/25 to the final night where I have & shots at $1,500 will make $5/entry regardless of finish since it’s the final night. It gives you a chance to really throw some bullets if you make it through to the final night. I’m wanting to write a blog/article on survivor tournaments soon.

I have never done a survivor tournament before. Good luck with your lineups tonight! Maybe I will check them out

You talking about the survivor tournament on FD that plays out the final round of 1,500 tomorrow? I only entered one entry, but because of Pomeranz last night, I have made it to the final day too! I like how survivor tournaments give us players a different taste and change of pace from all the other types of games. Guaranteed at least $5 tomorrow no matter where we finish because of outlasting the previous 4 rounds!
