not even filling 33% of its games….

    draft day and draftpot too…sad

  • pal

It does make me sad. I liked playing there. But at the same time: they only filled last season because of industry folks (Ethan et. all) mass entering all the games. They built an unsustainable model and now it is what it is.

Some of the bigger tournaments, like the end of year games, had the feel of collusion (much like the golf milly maker draft kings debacle). I do not feel like I was getting a fair shake in those things. The end of season championship qualifiers felt more like a calcuttta auction than fantasy.

I have had some issues with how some things are run over there, but in the end, I’ve had nothing but positive interactions with Eddie Fear and Justin Shulman— I wish them the very best. Who know— maybe feud can hang on until football and come back to life. But the writing in on the wall: no one is playing and there was no effort to market baseball (no promotions, no end of year championship).

Draft day is doing OK filling up their gpps or close to it from what I’ve seen.

Because as other smaller providers have had financial difficulties and someone might believe this for some reason, a response is warranted – but we’re doing great at Fantasy Feud, thanks.

Our parent company Gaming Nation is publicly owned so you can check on financials, but some of the relevant numbers are over 3 million cash on hand and over 10 million in short term investments earning interest. Also, I’ve no idea where “not even filling 33% of its games comes” stat comes from but it’s not in any way related to reality.

Like basically every contest provider, due to the tenuous legal environment we’ve stepped back a bit this year as the industry is regulated and gets everything that entails sorted out. Due to the reduced offerings, we’re actually well more profitable than last year. Also, August is quite possibly the slowest month of the year for a DFS provider as baseball winds down before NBA and NFL get going, and there aren’t a lot of new customers to gain, so we tend to be fairly conservative with our MLB offerings for this month.
This was our 5th MLB season, and we’re not going anywhere. I’m actually pretty excited about our NFL offerings due out this week and am looking forward to hosting another Grinders season long league as we did last year.

Feel free to reply with any further questions or send me a message, but there is literally no cause for concern.

Always good to hear Eddie. Feud and Aces are by far the best mid range sites….not sure if you guys are coming back to NY, but if you ever do I’ll be back for sure.

  • FastEddieFear

    Working on it :)

  • awilson45

Hey Eddie, got a super random question for ya, so I recently found out that Fantasy Feud used to have NLL contests, any chance of those ever coming back?

Feud’s NFL is top notch and always has been.

  • Loveyduvey50

Hey Eddie, how about some NCAA football on Fantasy Fued, you guys are in Canada right?

  • catmando

The CS on fued is not as good or timely as other sites and that is not saying much LOL

  • inwhiterooms

Yeah, not sure where you’re getting this information from. Feud has been regularly filling its GPPs this year, and there has been a lot less overlay than years past. Out of all of the smaller sites, they are the one I would be least concerned about.

  • FastEddieFear

NLL – We had a specific deal with them and part of that was our creation of contests for them. Deal expired and I do not expect it to return. The 20 people who played did say it was fun :)

NCAA – While we are a Canadian company, as previously mentioned we are publicly owned and can’t just flagrantly ignore what is now actual law.

I have always found the CS on FF to be as good or better than many other sites. They also have been very willing to host fun and unique contests requested by users. The Grinders Only NHL bracket contest they ran a couple years ago was awesome and one of my favorite DFS memories.
They have been around a long time and I have no worries about them.

    100% agree

  • FastEddieFear

I almost never hear any criticism of our customer service; it’s the area in which we’ve always felt most outstanding. If Catmando or anyone else has a bad experience with us I’d love to hear about the details so I can make sure it doesn’t happen again.

Love Feud PGA… finally won the $33 after 2 years of trying. NFL is great too with the 2QB and tough pricing. Don’t understand why people do $400 worth of GPP LU’s on DK/Fanduel only – do $100 each on DK/FD/Aces/Feud instead.

  • Gathman78

I’m beginning to wonder why I’m not playing on Fantasy Feud. Time to change that…

Just want to say that FF CS as always been fantastic. Had a special situation a while back and their handling of it was excellent.

    Agree 100%

I’m not sure why more people don’t try out multiple sites. You’d be surprised how successful you’d be in a different format, pricing from the main ones everyone focuses on. Just every once in awhile give up the pipe dream on winning $50k off of one single $3 bullett in a multi entry tourney on a bigger site and try out some smaller gpps/cash games on one of the other sites. In my experience if you are good, you can really rack up some serious earnings quicker then you think..rather then relying on Jose Lobaton, Ender Inciarte, Hernan Perez, and Jace Peterson to all somehow double dong on the same night to have a big pay day. Feel like other sites it can feel much more of a skill game when these things don’t need to happen to have long term success.

No clue what you are talking about vis a vis Draft Day. There is occasionally some overlay, but for the most part they have their contests sized properly.
