I tied with home_jjjk on draftkings ffwc qualifer, well the tiebreaker went to him because he entered the lineup before me which my opinion is crap. Now I can click on everyone else’s draftkings profile but his? Does this sound right? I’ve been sick to my stomach all day about losing like this. He gets ticket to New York I get 750 dollars. Draftkings scamming??

  • whodat2

Honestly DK should do the following: send both to the live final…. and for those two… THIS IS YOUR TIEBREAKER! The one with the highest scoring lineup counts in the finals contest. The lowest one is out. But the loser still gets the 2nd place money, a great time at a live finals (witch they could accommodate him for less than the $4500 in tickets), and had a shot at the big money.

But I know that wouldn’t fly with the earlier time stamped winner guy.

i can’t believe some of the assholes on this thread with no empathy for the OP. the rules were in tiny fine print that was different from the thousands of other contest rules/tiebreakers. it’s total bullshit.

A better tie breaker for qualifiers is to have everyone guess the final score of a game, and whoever is closest to the actual score wins the tie breaker, just like they do in NCAA March Madness brackets.

  • Daviddu316

Or if you tied, whoever did it with the least amount of entries in that tournament!

  • fadein34

DK stold money from every person that entered/edited the same lineup after the first person had a lineup.

If they want to do this fine, but there should have been a list of times in which that same lineup what entered.

And let’s not get lost on this whole mystery profile thing… Interesting. My intuition has always “red flagged” DK.

They werent in tiny fine print, people just are ignorant to the rules. When I buy something I always know what I am buying

I remember you. You were the idiot telling everyone that your “buddy” who works in the arena for the 76ers Kings game confirmed that it was only a delay. Luckily I recognized that there was a good chance you were full of shit and kept the changes, but I know at least a few people here made the mistake of believing you.

No one should buy ANYTHING you’re saying, IMHO ;)

Lol I was 100 percent right about that and completely right about this.

People agree to terms and conditions when they sign up for things but dont read what they are agreeing too. Not my fault

The last thing I got from them was this… after basically telling them I want the value of split first place .

    Hi David,

As we followed the Fantasy Football World Championship’s Terms and Conditions, we will not be providing any additional compensation. We feel as if $4,500 worth of Main Event tickets is an amicable resolution. I apologize for this frustrating scenario that you have encountered.

Wow…this is just disturbing on so many different levels. First of…..my condolences dude..that’s a bad beat. Anyone here that can’t sympathize with that is just simply being a jerk.

“I apologize for this frustrating scenario that you have encountered.” What? Really? How about apologizing for the frustrating scenario DK created by this ridiculously absurd tie-break? You didn’t willing encounter anything. You weren’t struck by lighting or a had a bird shit on your head. This “scenario” is 100% on DK and their par for the course incompetence that they display over and over and over.

Some here are saying the rules are the rules. But what you miss is the absurdness that DK would even run the qualifier on a 2 game slate where this was definitely more likely to happen to begin with. It is just another example of DK only being interested in getting their money. They are the only winners here.

FYI, by excepting these $1500 tix you are in essence absolving DK of any further responsibility. I hope you know that. If you attempt to engage in a legal dispute they would have grounds to say that your acceptance of this ‘compromise’ represented a settlement in the manner.

That said, if you do use these tickets I hope you cash big man. You totally got shafted here and I think it would be good Karma if you were rewarded. I’ll be pulling for you!

In the end, this should never have happened. DK should never have run this contest. But their adherence to incompetency and a rake or die philosophy is disgusting. Let’s get real people. Their own staff weren’t even aware of this BS tiebreak and it took 4 back and forth correspondence before they had a handle on this technicality.

    What a joke.

  • Daviddu316

I still can’t click on his name, but can click on everyone else’s profile if I want to challenge them. I challenged pitch to 5 dollar game but never accepted it lol

    No you don’t.

How about DK staff ignoring the rules?! They didn’t even know this was the tiebreak!

I built a lineup today just see how it would stack up. Probably shouldn’t have done that but oh well. Still sickened about this whole deal

So this absolves a company from being grossly incompetent by having this be the tiebreak in the first place? Do you think a tie in the Superbowl should be decided by which team ran out on the field first before kickoff?

There is the right way to run a business and the wrong way. This is the wrong way. Plain and simple.

Yep, that guy is one insanely lucky guy that benefited from DK’s rules and have literally everything go his way including the dk rules

Anyone know how fanduel does it? I have to make sure to enter dk qualifiers as soon as they open up from now on,, and I agree, it is a terrible way to split a tiebreaker. They could have some sort of other system that does it more fairly. Even an NBA H2H tiebreaker I feel is better.

  • KindGuy

The dude you tied with ended up getting 6th place and $200,000.

I just don’t understand what else DK could have done.
