I was sitting here thinking since I have been playing DFS for a few months now, My Gf has hated me researching things and talking about it but it is fun and keeps me interested in baseball in this part of the season. I was wondering how many (if any) women play DFS and how many of us guy’s wives/Gf hate that they play?

My gf is fine with the gambling aspect of it and knows I enjoy it, but if I’m checking my phone too much throughout the night it becomes a problem.

  • ryanms3030

My wife hates it. Mainly the checking my phone and sitting on my laptop all night.

But I’m also realizing staring at my scores all night is not healthy so once line ups lock I try to wait until the end of the night to just see how I do. Less stress that way, same theory with not checking my stocks every day

your GF is probably already annoyed when you sit and watch the yankees (whoever you are a fan of) for a full 9 inning game, largely because it is a waste of time. Just imagine how it looks when you are starting at mlb game cast for 5 hours…

You could be basically be doing anything. The problem is your paying to much attention to DFS. Not all but most women will become jealous. It’s just part of there DNA to get that way when they are not the center of your attention in a household

My Wife only hates it when I lose! Somedays I do sit and stare at the computer mainly on the nights I’m going really well. As long as I profit she is ok with it, sometimes she even asks me how I did the morning after. Every once in awhile I ask her opinion between two players. 80% I go against her judgement and 100% she is correct LOL

There are some women who play DFS. Forums and live chats can often be places that are unfriendly to women. I know of a player who is a consistent winner at DFS (and poker) but isn’t “out” as female anywhere on the internet just to avoid abuse. (And no, it isn’t me.) It would surprise me if this were an isolated situation.

Couldn’t have said it better! 100% agree

Get a new girlfriend kidding. Mine is fine with my dfs, research, and the gambling aspect. Whoever she is not fine with the checking phone all night, and sitting on the computer. I also take take the weekend off(at least Sunday) during mlb, Thursday and Sunday in nba. That way I can balance it.

It’s funny, I feel dirty when I explain DFS to her, as if I have a problem, but she actually is interested in it, the fact there’s a salary cap and you have to weight cost vs production, etc.

My girlfriend is finally coming around. It helps though that we just got a $3000 deposit in our account from winning the strikeout. Now we are in for a fun filled day of shopping at IKEA on this beautiful Saturday. Fuck my life.

If you win DFS is the next best thing since slice bread. If you lose money or extracurricular money then be prepared to feel a woman’s wrath

In all seriousness that’s the trade. My woman doesn’t care about helping me spend my DFS salary cap but she doesn’t mind spending the winnings. Also change our Draftkings email to her’s. Then she will get a daily email telling her you won (which includes your original bet). She will think you are crushing it and might even encourage you to bet more.

My wife loves it. We have had arguments over lineup decisions. I am very lucky.

Im a head high school baseball coach.. I also coach a Summer team s and try to research as much as I possibly can. My wife is a good sport as long as I limit research to an hour or so but because of all the baseball Im involved with she does nag me. She becomes annoyed when I go much past that or start listening to the podcasts etc..Trouble is its hard to win when I throw shit lineups out there just wanting to play..Case in point last night I got my ass kicked. Minor didn’t help

Most of what you have said is what is happening. My GF just keeps asking me if we are millionaires every few days but she doesnt mind that i play. She just doesnt understand the depths of baseball. So i am sure as soon as football comes around she will be a little more interested. But she was happy that I won MLB tickets last night. ( first ever Gpp win)

right, because shows like Real Housewives and Keeping up with the Kardashians are much better uses of time.

  • jenbenners

When I met my current lady I was winning on the reg. and she didn’t mind the research time and such. I would kinda let it slip out after taking her out for a nice dinner that DFS is what was paying for it. Now she feels bad when I lose but has little interest but for the prospective money to be won. I think it basically comes down to if the woman is a fan of sports in general. If so, and they understand “gambling” I am sure they would play DFS. Thus it is primarily men.

  • soulstealer

GF loves it because she can watch horseshit on TV like say yes to the dress and cake boss while I research and make lus.
