say, back 15 points with a RB and D/ST left to go on Monday night, with no one ahead of you with players left, how would you spend the day leading up to the game? Would you call anyone or be scared of jinxing it?

(At first I said kicker instead of D/ST but a defense would make for a much more dramatic game).

If it were me, I’d call in sick to work, get a bunch of beer and a lot of my favorite food, and camping out in front of my TV all day.

I guess also, what would you do the day after you won it? Also I’m calling in sick, then calling my parents for investment advice.

I’m guessing congrats are in order?

Oh definitely not me. I wish. I edited.

I’m just saying what I would do if I were in that situation.

I’ve told my Wife a few times if I ever win the Milly im not going to tell her until I wake her up with a 100K worth of Benjamins. And say now what? Hah. She thinks I waste my time on DFS.

I would pretend nothing was going on throughout the day and not even watch the game. I’d check it after I woke up the next day.

if i won a million..i wont even bother calling lol dfs is my new job and i work when i want lmao

I think this is the best idea ….Just get drunk and pass out not even watch the game that way you keep the blood pressure down . I’m not sure I could take the up / down sweat for a million . Just go to bed knowing you probably won a shitload of money but not sure how much .

Sounds good. But, there’s no way I could do this. I’d have to watch.

I’m hoping this is just a shakedown and nothing more – otherwise this industry is going sideways in a hurry with the politicians getting involved, etc.

I’d treat it like any other day and watch the game like normal. Whatever happens, happens. I could win or a player like Carlos Hyde could off. I would only work part time for a few years and save that money.

Interesting in this example you are behind with players to go.

If you are ahead and are fading the MNF game, there’s one clear answer: voodoo dolls.

I’m glad I’m not alone on that, the gf definitely thinks I blow time and money on it.. Till the day i get lucky and win…

  • Jimmywil

Probably just try to take the day as normally as possible. Attempt to not think of it and tell no one.

I’d feel better if I were behind in striking distance, just as far as expectations.

That’s be extraordinarily nerve-racking if I were on top with no one left and MNF to go.

What did you end up doing?

  • tyrant1014

I think I would watch the games, and at the same time break out the tax documents and the bills, so I could decide how I was going to pay off all the bills.

I would still work, probably for the next week. By brother and sister in law had a baby, so if I won, I would pull out the requisite taxes, setup a seperate savings account, so I could in theory be earning money on my taxes/

Buy a modest home, with cash where a 20 hour a week job would allow to pay for property taxes and bills etc. And then just sit and wait for my 401K to mature
