I’m looking for a place where I can find projected starting lineups to import into my spreadsheet daily. I’d like a way to automate that process, but haven’t found much luck. Has anybody found a site that works well for them? I know we’ve got the Starting Lineups here, but using the WebQuery option on Excel, we can’t scrape from RG.

I get my projected from Baseball monster and confirmed from Rotoworld

I go to different sites to differentiate between confirmed and projected. On my sheet it shows a green check when the lineup is confirmed. I posted a pic below of my setup, just as an example.

    Appreciate the help

@jvanspro How did you manage to accomplish that?

I’d be more than willing to help you out. What part are you stuck on?

I currently am using BaseballMonster and importing using Power Query. Then I have a lineups page that organizes all the info from the BaseballMonster dump. Problem I am having is the location of the data (Ie. Lineup position(one cell up or down), SP, etc) moves with every update on BM. So I have to repoint to the correct cell many times on a given slate. It is still better than typing in every projected lineup and then updating manually as line ups release but it isn’t truly hands free, so to speak. I have everything else completely automated or at least down to one click. I saw the refresh lineups button in your sheet and that is exactly what I’m looking for, just unsure as to how to go about it. Should I be using a VBA script instead or something along those lines?

Here is what I found on youtube and have added for lineups that go into my projection sheet.

A67 is the formula that is plugged into a lineup spot in the projections.

Yeah, that is how I had it set up on Google Sheets. Doesn’t work as well on Excel. I made the switch to excel because it handles connections so much better. After 10+ importhtml/importxml functions it stops refreshing information. It will give you an error and you have to copy the formula, delete it, hit enter and then repaste it for it to fetch. Pretty annoying when you have 20+ queries.

    Thanks for the reply though!

This is what I am working with right now:

    Raw Data – https://drive.google.com/file/d/19iJHUdFX2LfWeDMDBKD1Ca2TszV3GrkS/view?usp=sharing

    Organized Data – https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SaGG13M0GQY_QspfmKTDcPHzKe8y58V-/view?usp=sharing

I think I finally have it working correctly using “Match” and “Index” functions instead. Unfortunately Baseball Monster is missing the 7:00 game lineups right now, so that is annoying.

You are on the right track here. I have a projected lineups tab and a confirmed lineups tab. Projected is pulled from Baseball Monster and Confirmed is pulled from Rotoworld.

The refresh lineups button refreshes the Rotoworld tab and once a lineups shows up there the sheet will give a green check mark.

The long and short of it is I use the concatenate function. On my lineups page I have the team name and the lineup position. So in my confirmed tab the sheet will look for Braves1 and match with a player.

    Does this make sense?

    See below for an example.

Question for you all. I import the exact same way from MLBstartingnine. However it doesn’t bring everything over all the time. I don’t get it. Our google page looks exactly the same, but I’ll only get 90% of that slates lineups. It’s weird.
