    Hey all,

We’re always looking to improve our product and we’re taking the next step by engaging on a holistic level with our user base en masse.

    How would you improve Draftpot?

Any feedback (good or bad) is greatly appreciated.

Hope to hear from you soon!

    Cheers,
    Eric

    To improve DraftPot:

    (1) Uh, where are the League of Legends contests y’all promised after doing that LoL freeroll two weekends ago? There still are none and week 2 LCS/LPL/LCK/LMS just ended.
    (2) There were players missing from today’s (Sunday’s) NBA contests. I could roster any OKC player except Cameron Payne (who didn’t show up despite searching for him). Another player missing was Salah Mejri from DAL, again despite being able to roster any other DAL player. What gives? Didn’t enter any non-free contests because of this slew of missing players (generally value/punt plays). Bummer.

  • SouthernShield

I did well in the LoL FreeRoll and was looking forward to putting the money to use in more LoL contests.

Also disappointed in not having any LoL contests to play.

Mejri missing was a problem, but the whole Josh Smith debacle was MUCH worse… they paid out without any resolution of that issue (their feed had Smith on the Clippers, so you got a zero instead of 29.75 points – he was traded Friday and this was his 2nd game) even though I emailed them 3 times about it. Not sure I can keep playing there if there’s going to be an issue like this with traded players.

Whoa, didn’t know about that JSMoove issue. Huge problem, especially if they paid out players based on incorrect results. And come on – this was his second game with HOU already!

Agreed, kind of discourages me to play on their site in lieu of this -> probably will play more on DK now tbh.

Love the general approach of draftpot. Fan mode is great and i like gm mode as well but my main sport is nba and there is simply not enough variety of the double ups and h2h’s especially in fan mode. Today couldn’t even find a $5 h2h nba fan mode. Whats up with that??

We’ll make sure to do a better job of loading more H2Hs as they fill going forward.

We apologize for not having LoL available, as promised. We encountered a few bugs and are working to correct those before posting contests.

Josh Smith points were awarded before cash-out. Please reach out to contact@draftpot.com if this wasn’t the case for you.

Posted this elsewhere, sorry if it belongs here

You guys are showing Team Liquid’s SUP, Matt, as having not played today. He did with a 1K,13A, 14c line. Your chat is offline, so I sent an offline message, but no response. So any idea when this will this be corrected?

  • Forest29

Thanks for the email and correction DP!

  • tvsfrink

Eric or Joey, are you still monitoring this thread?

Why are you guys no longer offering weekend baseball contests? Too much overlay?

  • OsRitmos

Wondering what’s going on here too – I just got an overlay alert for MLB contests that didn’t exist (clearly an automated e-mail not triggered on actual overlay).

  • tvsfrink

Yep, got that too. Advertised contests that don’t even exist.

I requested a withdrawal of most of my money just in case. I let it build up too much anyway but I’m starting to get a bit concerned.

Was your withdrawal successful tvsfrink? I just withdrew and didn’t get nearly the amount I requested.. emailed their support to see what’s going on.

  • tvsfrink

Don’t know yet. I do check withdrawals so I have to wait longer to see if I get the check.

I will say the previous two times I requested a check I got it in a reasonable time frame (5-7 days I think).

  • tvsfrink

Yesterday’s contests are still showing live and haven’t paid out yet. Hmmm….

  • OsRitmos

If I had to guess I’d say it’s a small issue with how they handled the NYM game which was postponed until today. I would contact their support team to let them know, however. They typically handle those kind of issues pretty quickly.

  • jeffreybuckets

Ok. I held off on posting this to see if it worked itself out. But it hasn’t.

April 19th: placed a withdraw if my remaining balance. (I just never got into it)

May 9th: I emailed support on the status of my withdraw. I have not received anything communication from them.

May 9th: Support stated “ We are experiencing a slight delay with our check processing system. This issue be resolved this week and withdraws sent out at the end of the week.”

May 18th: I emailed again for a status

May 19th: they replied, “Still experiencing issues check processing system.” Suggest I cancel my withdraw and use paypal.

June 2nd: I emailed them and told them this situation is starting to worry me and that I would like a informative update.

June 4th: they replied, “There is no update. still waiting on our bank to fix the issues at hand. Unable to process check withdraws. No timetable on when its going to be fixed.”

June 6th: I stated that I would like to have my money withdrawn to a paypal account

June 7th: They said they would and gave me instructions. I completed their instructions.

I will keep you posted on how this ends.

  • tvsfrink

Eric, we can see you were on RG yesterday. Some information would be greatly appreciated. I requested a check withdrawal a few days ago and did not receive any kind of notification that you are having checking issues.

  • jrjones011

Eric no longer works for draftpot, as i follow him on twitter. left a few months back. i used to play only DFS esports on draftpot, and they would offer contests sometimes, sometimes not, and they returned an email they would no longer be offering them for the immediate future so i withdrew my funds. funds came within 24 hours, but that was months ago. seems like draftpot is taking its plunge as many others have before.

  • TheRyanFlaherty

They might be telling the truth.

I’ve only been playing occasionally on the site, so I’ve tried to keep a small balance in case there ever was an issue. I won some smaller tournaments the other night, and when I saw the recent posts in this thread I figured I’d better try to cash some of that out.

I put in a paypal request a couple days ago and I just got an e-mail that the funds have been transferred to my account. So unless mine just went through because it was a much smaller withdraw? There is a chance it actually is an issue with the checks.
Wanted to let you guys know that they aren’t ignoring all withdraw requests.

  • tvsfrink

    Thanks for the info.

FWIW I did also send them a message via their site yesterday morning. No response yet.

  • OsRitmos

They did have a seemingly unsustainable amount of overlay last NFL season. I’ll be curious to see how they offer NFL contests this Fall. They’re definitely a site to keep an eye on as they went all-out on advertising and had tons of overlay to grow their user-base and now seem to be backtracking a little bit…or just holding off until NFL again.

  • jeffreybuckets

Update: they processed my PayPal withdraw. So it might really be the check system.

I really can’t believe that the site has been sustainable when you consider that they have 0% rake on H2H games.
Considering the consistent overlay they had in GPP’s, I was shocked when they announced that, and even more surprised that they’ve stuck with it.

I would have assumed losing some money in overlay was a necessary move to draw in and keep players, but you could live with a small loss there due to money you would bring in with cash games.

I don’t know how it’s supposed to work when you’re not making much, if any, money on either end of that spectrum.
Really they could have offered 5% rake and it would still be a selling point because you’ve cut the industry standard in half.
Doesn’t make much sense to me.

From what I’ve seen they don’t offer that many of those games so I doubt it’s really affected their bottom line.
