    Hey Grinders,

We are psyched to be writing to you all once again to announce yet another exciting new feature here on RotoGrinders. Results DB (database) is your one-stop portal for a summary on a previous night’s slate, and to put it bluntly, it’s got more information and data than Aaron Judge has in his swing!

Our team worked extremely hard on this tool as we find it to be an extremely important tool for the DFS community. Not only does it give players a chance to study a previous slate and analyze where they may have misread a situation, but it also allows further transparency about who is playing what contest, how many entries they are playing, and what specifically their lineups looked like.

Additionally, ResultsDB is place of kudos and celebration, as it’s a great way to congratulate our users when they have a big night! Taking down a GPP is hard, and it deserves props; on Results DB, props are given!

You can access Results DB by clicking the view yesterday’s results link under “Shoutouts” on the upper left side of the homepage, or by clicking Results DB in the secondary menu bar between Starting Lineups and DFS Analyzer.

Let’s take a look at some of the features that Results DB has to offer. I’ve broken down the homepage here by section:

    1.) Slate Overview
This is where we tell you how many total contests we tracked, how much total prize money was contained in this contests, and across how many slates we tracked these contests. In this example, on Tuesday, July 25, 2017, we tracked 40 contests on DraftKings.

2.) Select Different Slates or Dates
On the calendar to the left, you can select today’s date or a date in the past for which we have data. Once you have the date selected, you select the slate you want via the dropdown menu. Remember, most days have at least three slates. (Main, Express, Late, etc.)

3.) Cash Won By RG Members
This is such a cool feature and really speaks to the dedication of the RG community members. For every slate, and for every contest within a slate, you can see what percentage of winners are registered members of RotoGrinders. For the total main slate on July 25, for example, nearly 60% of all winners were RG members!

    4.) Slate Summary
Here’s a breakdown of the selected slate, how much money there was in total prizes, how many players cashed, the best pitcher, the best hitter, and the average cash line. If you want a quick summary of the slate, look here!

    5.) Optimal Lineup
Our computers crunched the numbers, and the optimal lineup is the absolute best lineup you could have made. This section can also be titled “I Wish I Made That Lineup.”

    6.) Actual Best Lineup
While optimal lineup is the absolute perfect lineup, the actual best lineup is just that, the best lineup that was actually made and submitted into a contest. You’ll see in parentheses the user who made it, (shoutout to IMRAN77!) and a breakdown of which players they used, how well they performed, and how much they spent on the lineup in total.

    7.) Contests
Here you’ll find a list of every contest we tracked for this slate, along with clickable links that’ll bring you to a more detailed look at that specific contest. If you don’t want to dig deeper, however, this page provides an excellent overview of the contest, from the buy-in to the cash line, all the way to the winner and how many entries the winner submitted. (Winner Entries)

For those of you looking to dive deeper, let’s take a look inside a contest breakdown!

As you can see, I clicked on the first contest listed, the $400K GRAND SLAM, and it brought me to this page, which breaks down every entry in this contest. As we did with the homepage of Results DB, let’s break this page down by section.

    1.) Congrats!
This bar is dedicated to congratulating the winner of the contest (shoutout to Clubber62!) and also lists what the winning lineup was.

    2.) Highest Owned Players
How often are you on Twitter after a slate locks and you see a tweet to the nature of “Anyone know Charlie Morton ownership on DK?” Well, this section answers that question for you, for every player on the slate. (And Charlie Morton was 36.16% owned.)

    3.) Cashes Leaderboard
Here’s a leaderboard of everyone who cashed, complete with how many entries they played. The name linked in blue are RotoGrinders members and you can click on their name to be taken to their profile! (Sidenote: nearly 80% of entrants in this contest were RG members!)

    4.) Show Lineup
I LOVE this feature. If you click the little blue icon, (next to the red four) a pop-up will appear that shows you that players lineup. It’s super handy if you’re looking to review or study the slate, as I often enjoy doing.

    5.) Users by Entry Count
Last but not least, we have a great feature that really emphasizes transparency. It’s a breakdown of how many entries each user in the contest submitted, listed alphabetically by number of entries. If you want to search for a specific user, simply type their DraftKings username into the “user search” bar.

    —-

Whew, that was a lot, so thanks for sticking with me! I hope this breakdown was helpful, and if it wasn’t or you have any further questions, comment in this chain and we’ll find you an answer!

We hope you enjoy ResultsDB as much as we think you will, and we are sincerely excited for you to dig in and use this tool, along with the plethora of others here on RG, to help you become a better and more profitable DFS player!

In the highest owned section, would it be possible to put their points scored (FPTS) and price in there? And be able to sort by those or percentage owned?

    Looks great!

I think you should also add a section for the 10 and 25 cent tournaments to show how good youdacao and other high stakes players do on the multiple entry low cost entries to show they are good at bottom feeding also!!

I love it, but I’m assuming only those highlighted in blue are members? I’m not showing as a member of RG

Hey SelfCharmer there is no set timeline in place but we do hope to eventually include all sports with GPPs over $5k into ResultsDB!

Hope you’re enjoying the product thus far!

I finished 27th in 4 seamer (20 max)on the 7th and still doesn’t show me as a member of RG. I could be looking at it wrong. Are those in blue not RG members?
