no contests in the lobby for mlb or nfl

  • Nosuckoutplz

You can ask erictpaine . I have’nt visited the site, or his Twitter profile in many months but last I did he had Draftpot in his description. Visiting just now, I notice he doesn’t anymore. He’s active. The @draftpot account is very sparingly active, most recently about a week ago.

    Good luck

    Edit: I believe there’s rep’s here too

  • tvsfrink

They claimed they’d be back in a big way for NFL but that seems highly unlikely.

    Hey gavlam,

Thanks for reaching out. We do not offer MLB contests over the weekend. As for NFL, please check back to the site next week for contests.

Thanks for understanding and have a good Labor Day Weekend!

Can you give us an idea what the NFL GPP structure will be? Are you doing the Spike and Touchdown again? Thanks in advance.

  • GrindUnumb

Still no NFL contests posted. Not good for customer confidence. Certainly making it unlikely myself and many other re-deposit for the NFL season. A real shame, one of my Top 3 favorite sites last year.

  • tvsfrink

Yep, I just checked again and nothing posted. Also found these:

    http://www.legalsportsreport.com/11240/draftkings-fanduel-dfs-2016/

“Three of the big movers early in 2015 — Fantasy Feud, DraftPot and DraftOps — are almost off the radar ahead of the 2016 season. Feud and DraftPot have no active NFL contests with just over a week until the season begins. The latter has no active contests in its lobby at all.”

“Pundits are, on the other hand, expecting second-tier operators DraftPot and DraftOps to take the same path that Fantasy Aces and FFI have taken.”

As of this morning, NFL contests are up and so is the RotoGrinders premium content for Draftpot.

I just dont see anyway smaller companies like Draftpot survive in this new climate. I expect more mergers as well as dissolution in the future. The Regulations alone will eat into the operating expenses to the point they wont be able to charge a competitive rake.

    Ugh.

Six guaranteed contests, three each for Fan and GM. If I want to play my preferred method of GM mode, my choices are a $10 double up, a $25 tournament, and a $50 double up.

Why even bother? Just close up shop already.

RIP Draftpot. I used to love you, but you aren’t you anymore.

    Very weak stuff.

    This.

Got the football e-mail and thought maybe that would breathe life into the site, but nope. Had the same thought – Why even bother?
Maybe there’s investors or some sort of situation where they need to play it out as long as possible and not admit that it’s been a complete failure? It doesn’t really make sense…Ii’s looking like I should just cash out the small amount I had left on the site…

  • tvsfrink

I cashed out every penny when the MLB offerings dried up. I was ready to put money back in based on a good NFL launch, but nope.

  • coninefan

Was definitely my best site last year so I’m bummed about it. Seems clear they ran out of funding…Going from first prize of $5K or $10K to a total pool of $2K.

  • Nosuckoutplz

Yea, I feel bad for these guys, but respect their tenacity.

It’s def one of those “there’s not many people on the site because there’s not many people on the site” things. I do think they were very responsible when it comes to running the business. They dropped guarantees as needed along the way. An irresponsible site would have burned in flames.

Hopefully they get rewarded in the end weather that be through an acquisition, sale of rights to “GM mode/fan mode” or riding it all the way through the current times and maybe catching a wave of resurgence when dfs becomes fully accepted by the mainstream and government officials.

Side note, I wrote fantasyaces support the other day and the support agent who signed the reply was “Eric t. Paine”, very well could be the same Eric whom I mentioned in the earlier post who was with draftpot.

I hope fantasyaces can make it and I’m actively supporting that site as much as I can at this time.

Draftpot is still operating. Played the first few weeks and made a withdrawal this week. The withdrawal was the second fastest of the eight sites I withdrew on, so I think in the short term you are still safe playing there. Sucks that the guaranteed money has taken a hit, but at least they are trying.
