Not sure if everyone has seen the new careers page here at DraftKings, but we revamped the entire page and have a ton of jobs open right now:

    http://careers.draftkings.com/

Specifically, we’re looking for someone with a really strong sports and statistical background to help with player salaries and more. We figured there’s probably at least a few good candidates here in the RG forums. This job is out of the Boston office.

Even though I’m a New York sports fan, I find the Boston/NY thing at the bottom of the page hilarious haha.

Wrong of course, but still funny :)

Ethan, I feel like you could have gotten a better response here if you filmed a teaser video instead.

How is a near $1bn company that is “very dependent on the player pool and salary execution” looking to fill such an important position with an “entry level” analyst?

    What happened to markness?

  • Markness

    DraftKings Team

With so many sports going on it’s not a one-man job… This role would be working with me and the rest of the product team at DK.

Yeah, wtf. Almost like they’re trying to build out a whole team and not just one person doing that kind of thing.

This is great and I wish I lived near Boston/NY. One thing I noticed is a few positions related to Facebook(a FB manager and Ad Buyer/Relations). I do not for the life of me understand how any company uses the metrics such as likes where it needs a paid position. FB is garbage. I see those DK and FD posts with CC Sab and no one ever comments or likes. Im so confused by companies use of FB. Look I get it now, sort of(their info and data is worth something especially mobile) but planning for the future is important and in the future Facebook will still be garbage but it’ll also be on fire.

I will never understand why a company such as DK would limit there potential candidates to those with a bachelors degree when every requirement under that (for the player pricing analyst job) is 100% achievable without one. That said I have bachelors in the soon to be thriving field of botany and can not only bring to the team every qualification for the players pricing analyst, i also come with high grade Canadian Pot and the ability to price a NHL player pool, something that was lacking in 2014-2015.

IMO the “opportunity to work with Markness” should be included in the job description as an additional perk.
