Not sure how many more birdie fests i can cope with!

  • byo34

Bout to be on Clark and Burns in back to back to back weeks. Price dependent of course ;)

I am starting to believe that in these birdie fest weeks I will go stars and scrubs and in major weeks just go balanced.

That’s the move IMO! Just this week there are no stars!!!

      RG Overall Ranking

3 winning weeks in a row, 4 if we count my $6K 2nd place in a Weekend contest 3 weeks ago! I guess birdie fests are my thing! I played all the rookies and they did more than fine!

    Wow – killin’ it! Congrats!

I almost achieved a goal of mine this weekend. When my lineup is terrible I just say screw it I’m going for DFL in the happy meal. This week 97th… so close!

Just looked at field for John Deere. Mr. Withdrawal himself, Kevin Na, is only player in field in top 50 OWGR. Most of top players are in the Scottish Open, prepping for The Open. 18 players in top 50,including Rory, Fowler,JT, Kuchar etc. Anyone. feel like paying $11k for Na?
Hopefully DK will have better contests this week for Euro.

    You won’t believe this..

Kevin Na already withdrew. Not even joking.

The 3M seemed like a good overall week for the forum (except BIF). It paid off to be familiar with the young players. And some Canadians.

I managed to barely cash a $100 double up despite only 4/6 making cut, and also placed 2nd in the $33 dogleg. But I’m most proud of finishing last in the PIG!

It’s going to be interesting to see which of the top finishers people go back to this week, especially Wolff, Clark, Ortiz, Burns, and Morikawa. And will anyone take a flyer on this week’s disappointments, like Champ, Kang, Moore, Doc Redman, KY Lee?

  • hautalak

The OG “birdiefest”!!! Think I’ll go back to the Pornstache well (Wagner). Might do a little more research for the Scottish but I’m sure contests won’t be appropriately sized but this is a great week to focus on golf alone!!!

I think I would rather DK flip flop the all of tourney dollars away from the John Deere towards the Scottish Open.

Also which field is Fritteli in? Mike has him on both spreadsheets… Wouldn’t typically use him but maybe if playing the Deere.

  • hautalak

Also at least give me some EURO salaries :(

  • DayThugginFOURlife

My range for players this week is 6k-7.9k

Frittelli has odds for the Scottish Open. i’m looking at him and MacIntyre

  • marker0357

    …maybe Bjerregaard too

  • marker0357

field is much more interesting for the Scottish Open. It’s nice prep for those who are playing in The Open next week, especially if they skipped the Irish Open.

Given the frustration that comes over me when hitting a couple bad shots on a crappy golf course, I have no idea how any of these guys, who put so much effort into this sport on a daily basis, probably to the point of extreme obsession, don’t lose their minds in front of these huge crowds watching them hit a bad shot. When you know it’s in you, you know what you’re capable of, one bad shot has got to sting so hard. It can make it seem like all of that hard work just went flying out the window. I don’t know how they do it. Other sports don’t require the same amount of focus and precision, and bad plays can be moved on from fairly easily. Golf has got to be the hardest sport on earth just to make it to a professional level, and it’s mostly between the ears.

I hope he comes through and excels again.

Ho-Sung Choi is the most interesting thing about the John Deere field. I live in Illinois and part of me wants to go follow him around for 2 straight days

So looking at last year’s John Deere results…why did so many WD?

Sometimes when the cut is trending at -3 and you are + a lot you just got to pack it in with a neck injury.
