So looking at last year’s John Deere results…why did so many WD?

With the British the week after I assume anyone playing both that starts terribly would rather get the early start across the pond.

    Just a guess

    Wow – killin’ it! Congrats!

I almost achieved a goal of mine this weekend. When my lineup is terrible I just say screw it I’m going for DFL in the happy meal. This week 97th… so close!

Thanks! Yeah it’s better when no one hits in your lineup than being just under the cash line.

Sometimes when the cut is trending at -3 and you are + a lot you just got to pack it in with a neck injury.

There were several players who 2nd rd. scores I was taking as final scores (like Gooch’s 69-69). I’m now thinking Gooch just was at 69 at that point in a bad round and WD’d before completing it. Same with Diaz (71-63) and Claxton (71-66). Those 2nd round scores weren’t complete. Bryson didn’t shoot a 1st rd. 62.

Hovland/Collin/Wolfe going to be the highest priced golfers this week i bet.

  • kps3205s

Can we say Zach Johnson chalk week? OR will he be way expensive?

As most of you probably know but just in case…Last 10 years he’s a total of -162 with 38 rounds under par and 2 rounds at par.

I don’t think there’s a chance ZJ isn’t the highest priced golfer in this field

Sucks for Wolfe and Collin that the 3M wasn’t a qualifier for the Open

Here you go! I’m waiting for salaries myself (as I’m sure LFN is too).

FD has OPEN prices up already.

  • eruthruff

THe 2013-2017 Zach Johnson might be the highest priced, if he were in the field. 2019 ZJ doesn’t belong in the top 10.

    Really appreciate it!

it’s bad enough with mashed potatoes and get in the hole, I won’t be able to handle this new one and will have to watch on mute.

I have a question about the greens for the Scottish open, and the UK in general. In the U.S. and mainland Europe, the greens seem to be either bermuda, bentgrass, or poa (or, more rarely, paspalum). It’s pretty easy to find out and many of us take it into account. For UK courses, I find it much more difficult to find out. The European tour often has a very detailed “venue” page, but not always for UK courses and not this week. From what I can tell, they are usually some mixture of fescue, bentgrass, and poa. I heard that it’s hard to keep the poa out and over time the % poa increases. But I’m not sure about any of that.

So, the question is, how would you categorize the greens for the Scottish open (at the Renaissance Club this year) and other UK courses? Or do they just not compare closely enough to any U.S. greens, so toss out that factor?

Correct that’s what they had when they bailed.

I’m surprised FanDuel hasn’t got anything for this week either. They usually post it by now-the only thing they got up is the open and that’s it.

I don’t mind it too much, at least he steps up to the ball and hits it. Compare that to spieth who has to dry his hand 67 times before each shot

Giving Yahoo Golf a try this week and just looked over the salaries there. The young guys are wayyyyy to cheap.

    Hovland $27
    Morikawa $26
    Wolff $20 (min salary)

For some persepctive, the most expensive guys are Howell $47 and Im at $46.

I wonder how high their ownership will get.
