Van Rooyen T1 inevitable. Hopefully he falls back and doesn’t make as many birdies tomorrow. Otaguei with the bogey on the 8th that everyone’s bogeying. But just needs to par the last get in at a miracle -4 somehow and shoot -1 or -2 tomorrow to make the cut.

Knox, Fitzpatrick struggling at -1. Need them to finish that way. I can’t believe I’m following both tournies.

Well I suppose if somehow everyone else makes the cut on my cash team, Merritt gets some birdies coming in the next 2 days, a 5/6 can still cash a double up. Just need everyone else though a lot ot ask for.

  • Dewoc19

Merritt just took out 20% of the field and a. Ice Hovland, McCarthy, Ttingale lineup for me although Tringe just bogies so…

Well for me, I just wanted to give a friendly donation. Not sure about everyone else.

Looks like he got all of 202 off the tee. Not sure if he topped a driver or hit an iron or something.

He knows he isn’t making that green in 2 so he’s just setting himself up for the 3rd shot distance he wants. No reason to yank something into the rough and make it harder to get your distance. He got what he wanted a 100 yard 3rd shot into 18 feet, probably would be upset he didn’t get it inside 10. Missed birdie putt of course.

No body in this entire JDC field has any win equity at the British except maybe ZJ if he somehow gets his old magic back (doubt it for the British hopefully for the JDC though), so I don’t think most care about going to the British Open and would rather get some FedEx points.

Where is Streelman right now? Why did so many MDF WD last year? Why did top players here fade most if the Open guys this week?. Its a valid concern man…

Would love another birdie from Werenski to finish off the round -2.
Looks like -3/-4 could be the cut.

I think Jamie saslowski can hit his putter 300+

John Daly would show off during pro-am stuff and I recall him driving it (surprisingly far) with his putter back in the day. I tried to find it on the internet, but nothing comes up other than some trick shot guy who also does that.

Remember when Shawn Stefani was leading at -5? Me neither.

Just a random stat last 10 years the cut has been -2 or -3.

Yea I get your point. I guess my hypothesis is this year there won’t be any. We’ll see the results tomorrow. Streelman did WD for the British Open but he did it in advance, so he doesn’t technically count (unless you somehow didn’t reset your lineups). He never even teed it up.

The only one from last year I think who WD off the top of my head is Bryson DeChambeau, but he legitimately has win equity in the Open.

EDIT: I get your point, I honestly don’t know why everyone else WD last year (I just saw the results from last year). I don’t think any of them was for the British Open though. Bryson was the only one and he’s a bit of a nutcase anyways. Hopefully, Hovland, Morikawa, Wolff, and Niemann don’t turn into him.

I threw 1 LU in a few contests, never tdid a euro LU before. But went with Molinari because his brother is good, JT, Kaymer and some Bjork guy…LOL its cashing in every contest at 167.

John Daly is the man. Major champion drinking brewskis and chain smoking. I think he is the mascot for golden tee as well.

Last year there was weather which pushed the Friday round into Saturday I believe which is why so many jumped ship early since no one wants to play an insanely long weekend at the John Deere with the Open on the horizon. The 8 MC’s or whatever it was last year was an outlier and won’t be an issue this week without weather risking golf going into late Sunday / Monday.

Oh wait, it’s easy to see why everyone WD last year. I didn’t put 2+2 together at first.

It’s because there was a rain delay last year so they had to come back Saturday morning to finish R2, so everyone who had no shot just WD. Like it wasn’t related to the Brtish at all except in Bryson’s case

The funny thing is he can birdie streak to finish. Maybe he won’t make the cut, but I need those extra 12 FPs for the 3 birdies + streak for the bubble on Sunday.
